Wait 'til the Cave Men meet the Gecko...

NoBoxes 01-25-2007 04:52 AM

They'll run that little lizard over in their Flintstonemobile ... but ... at least they'll be insured!

Elspode 01-25-2007 11:23 AM

Og love caveman commercials...Og not understand, but Og love.

Shawnee123 01-25-2007 11:49 AM

I love the caveman commercials too. The first one I saw (where they were watching TV and the one was playing a grand piano) killed me...and they just get better.

Cloud 02-03-2007 11:51 AM

they bother me for some reason.

I like the Capital One barbarian commercials better.

Ah, the question that has divided mankind for centuries: do you like cavemen or barbarians better?

;)

Clodfobble 02-03-2007 12:55 PM

Cavemen! Especially the newest one about the caveman who is ashamed that he broke down and got Geico insurance despite their blatant discrimination.

Perry Winkle 02-03-2007 01:30 PM

I like barbarians better. They have superior hygiene.

Happy Monkey 02-03-2007 02:11 PM

I vote astronauts.

Trilby 02-03-2007 03:04 PM

Cavemen...Barbarians......Cavemen...Barbarians...tough call.

Is it fair to say that Genghis Kahn was a barbarian? If so, then I'd vote Caveman d/t fact of small Asian penis (no offense to our Asian Cellarites--I'm sure they fit v. snugly in the small Asian vaginas) BUT then there is Conan the barbarian who looked like he was packing, if you get my drift. On the other hand, cavemen were known to knock a chick out and drag her by the hair to his lair where he would...do unspeakable things to her and what's not to like about that? That's hard for a gal to resist. They both have something going for them but after review, I'm gonna revise my first position (do a Reverse Cowgirl, if you will) and go with Barbarian. Effing with cavemen is too tricky, evolutionary-wise. Barbarians WERE insane criminals but at least they were wholly genetically human insane criminals. :D

WabUfvot5 02-03-2007 03:31 PM

Annoy the hell out of me. That's not uncommon with me for commercials.

busterb 02-03-2007 03:49 PM

Wish I had insurance with Geico, so I could cancel it.

30

Shawnee123 02-03-2007 04:10 PM

Well, there you have it, folks. 4 out of 5 Cellarites prefer barbarians.

rkzenrage 02-03-2007 04:17 PM

I worked for the company for six years... I was really happy with this one.
Believe it or not, we used to get calls yelling at us about the horrible thing we did to the duck's bill.

I think is is moronic to judge a company on it's advertising, however, I still can't bring myself to eat Mentos.

Cloud 02-03-2007 04:43 PM

barbarian girls get to wear fur bikinis! and leather! and big swords and other sharp things! and get to hang out with Conan.

cavemen girls get bonked on the head and dragged by their hair. and tend fires of mastodon dung.

Barbarians all the way, baby!

cklabyrinth 02-03-2007 05:31 PM

I love the Geico commercials. "Looks like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the rock" just kills me.

One Million BC gets me going... but, then again, so does a slight wind.

Cloud 02-03-2007 11:57 PM

Hmmm...maybe because there are no cavemen left to sue them for discrimination.?....that`s the whole point of those wonderful commercials.

Pie 02-07-2007 07:59 PM

I gotta vote caveman. They invented BBQ.

Cloud 02-07-2007 08:19 PM

bbq without beer?

milkfish 02-11-2007 03:41 PM

LOS ANGELES — Those Geico "cavemen" shouldn't be so upset after all — they may get their own television series.

ABC said Friday it had ordered a pilot for a comedy, tentatively titled "Cavemen," that features the characters used in a series of ads by the insurance company.

In the ads, cavemen appear insulted by a Geico pitchman's claim that the company's Web site is so easy to use that "even a caveman can do it."

The potential series, one of 14 pilots that will be produced by Touchstone Television this spring, features the cavemen as they "struggle with prejudice on a daily basis as they strive to live the lives of normal thirty-somethings in 2007 Atlanta."

It's unusual for characters from an advertising campaign to move into shows of their own, but not unprecedented. The CBS comedy "Baby Bob" featured a talking baby that had been used in several advertisements, according to Daily Variety.

The advertising copywriter who helped create the "cavemen" ads is writing the pilot, the studio said.

A pilot order is no guarantee a show will make it on the air; in fact, the majority of pilots don't make it that far.

Cloud 03-03-2007 04:37 PM

The caveman is in therapy now, because of the emotional distressed caused by the commercials!

Link don't work.

Dude111 10-17-2018 08:03 AM

The archive site seems to be sluggish... It does load but takes longer some tries.......

lumberjim 10-17-2018 11:52 AM

I'm on a couple guitar forums, and in their rules they prohibit what they call zombie threads. Bumping old dead threads. Dude wouldn't last long there.

I think it's stupid. They'd miss out on this kind of fun. I don't know why they just don't lock them after they 'die'.

BigV 10-17-2018 05:43 PM

But here, the Dude abides.

Dude111 10-17-2018 10:05 PM

Thank you everyone :)

I dont see a big deal with scanning the bases and replying to whatever ya want that ya like...... (Even if the starter doesnt see it new members will benefit)

Gravdigr 10-18-2018 10:01 AM

AFAIK thread resurrection is not frowned upon in this establishment.

Some of them aren't quite as dead as others.
