Beautiful Women
I like to look at beautiful women. (and men, of course--but that's another thread). I like to look at movies, etc. and see how the styles have changed.
Who do you think represent the most beautiful women of the 20th/21st century? |
Nora Charles. Not Myrna Loy; Nora Charles.

20 years later she's married to the very talented kevin kline |
Salma Hayek, Sarah Chalke, Joey Lauren Adams, Greta Garbo, Lucille Ball (she's great in, "Miss Grant Takes Richmond"), Milla Jovovich, Samantha Brown (travel channel), Megan McCormick (travel channel), Justine Shapiro (travel channel). Just to name a few.
for pictures of Megan and Justine: http://www.meganmccormick.com/ (not an official site, just some screen caps) |
I don't know from "the 20th/21st century"--I wasn't around for most of it. :D
But I'll always have a soft spot for Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst, Jodie Foster, and Judy Garland. |

and, not to fault your taste, but I find your list a bit odd. Smart? Talented? Yes. Most beautiful? Well, tastes differ, as do styles of beauty. Being a small blond myself, I tend to like statuesque brunettes--Sophia Loren and Salma Hayek, for example. But there are lots of beautiful women out there. Not me, alas! |

Jennifer Hawkins..
http://www.mediaweek.com.au/images/p...er_hawkins.jpg Megan Gale...(below) They are both gorgeous Australian chickie babes, but they appeal to me as they are both down to earth and just great personalities. Jessica Alba is wwaaaaaayy up there on my list. |
(I don't like skinny) Greta Garbo, Elizabeth Taylor, Vivien Leigh, Lucille Ball, Brigitte Bardot, Jean Harlowe, Lauren Bacall, Marylin Monroe, Raquel Welch...
My top two are Audrey Hepburn and most beautiful... Sophia Loren http://www.argentic.fr/visuals/501/visual-full.jpeg Modern two exceptions are Charlize Theron and, sometimes, Angelina Jolie. |
.I've always thought Uma has a classic beauty.
Now I think Roselyn Sanchez (from Without a Trace) might just be the most beautiful woman who ever lived! Kudos to UT for the Phoebe Cates! I'd like to add this quote: Yet her features were not of that regular mould which we have been falsely taught to worship in the classical labors of the heathen. "There is no exquisite beauty," says Bacon, Lord Verulam, speaking truly of all the forms and genera of beauty, without some strangeness in the proportion." --Edgar Allen Poe, Ligeia |
I agree about Uma, a grievous oversight on my part. Also, damn I can't think of her name, black lady on Ugly Betty now, also played the Queen Of Trash in Elmo goes to Grouchland.

Ahh, yes...Vanessa Williams.
I like Michelle Pfeiffer, too. |
|
Briana Keilar
Sharon Stone (I know...) |
Natalie Portman is a beautiful young lady, but then I see a pic like this and think what are you doing?
|
Where is her camp tattoo?
|
Her hair is growing back after she shaved it for a movie role, and the light is very unflattering, and her dress is much too large and fugly. It makes her look like a skeleton, but she's not.
|
There's somethin about skier chicks..
Lindsey Kildow of the US Ski Team http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f8...Man/linds8.jpg |

She even looked good with the shaved hair. She's very pretty. I loved her in Garden State. |

This woman is beautiful. ;)
|
They keep the White House soooooooo cold.
|
No. 1 would be my wife. A distant second would be Jane Seymour. Jane fits my wife's rule for looking at other women. Drool all you want, as long as they are older than she is.
|
How old is your wife, so I can avoid breaking the rule.
|
Hillary Clinton is a Hag. Nice puppy noses on the other one though.

My wife is 42, I think Jane 60, or close to it.
|
I think I would be embarrased mightly by that photo if I were Natalie

For sure. She's less than a year older than me, can only dream I'll run into her on the slopes next winter and ask to buy her a drink!
|
Madeleine Stowe..........that's not me in the background, but I have been stalking the woman for years now.
|
Persis Khambatta...........not many women can shave their heads and still look gorgeous. Deceased unfortunately and only accessible by the gods. Goddamned gods.
|
Janine Turner..............I like her better with long hair, but dirty old men can't be too terribly particular.
|
|
In the last half of the 20th century, we've swung from Ginger to Mary Ann as the ideal.
|
I personally think Sela Ward is beautiful
|
i was gonna post a pic of jinx in her wedding dress.....cuz dayum. but i was denied by the oversite commitee. anyway....i really like Mia Sara:

Helena Bonham Carter
She was on Jonathan Ross last Friday and I couldn't stop staring at her - she's a living Pre-Raphaelite beauty. |

Halle Berry. Can't believe no one's mentioned her.

If you don't want to pet my mouse why did you ask about him? |

I didn't know you leaned that way. I'd have chosen my words more carefully, as should you have. |
I said we because the nation as a whole has changed it's taste in pop sluts. Now they look more like Mary Ann than Ginger. If you want to chose your words more carefully, don't make threats you can't back up.
|
depends on ones criteria... there are two that I like looking at for the sake of looking at. and both hard to find on the web anymore. Luba (from the hegre photographs.. married the sum-beeyotch!) and zsanetta (aka. sandy/vega vixen) who now owns her own porn company.) like I said they are close to what I see as female perfection (specifically luba). statues in motion.
|
oop! didn't read that.. mary anne was a keeper... ginger was a a one night fling (that I would keep in the back of my mind when mary-anne wasn't being too enthusiastic.
