I'm on the fence about merc....sometimes I find him really amusing, then others I am blown away by the intolerance and behavior (ie, the whole Ibby thing) of a *rational* adult type person.

I don't agree with much of what Mercs's said. I doubt we'd get along in real life. Most times I've read posts and though "that's a bit rough". Many times I've read posts and thought "Nup, that's wrong - I need to argue that point", but I've held back, thinking it's better not to be drawn into an argument or not having the facts to back myself.

However, I think you DO need someone to stir the possum sometimes. I guess the fact that you sometimes even offend me, means you're pretty good at it. For that reason alone I think you're ok.

Since LJ lacked the intestinal fortitude to present the same evaluation poll on himself in conjunction with his poll on TheMercenary, I have set aside Merc's post history and rendered a summary judgement of "He's the Bomb. My Favorite dwellar." based upon principle. This judgement includes punitive award. The tribunal is closed.

We already had an 'Is lj an arsehole' thread. Well...almost. It was asking if he's a bully or not. That was a while ago now though.

Cloud asked for an opinion on her thread starting. I gave my opinion in direct response.

I did not follow her from thread to thread making snide remarks or responding to every question with a comment about her private life. Neither has any other Dwellar as far as I can tell. Which puts us whiny little bitches in a different class than Merc imo.

I don't really see the point of this thread. I do think can Merc be an asshole at times....but then again so can a lot of us, myself included, in our own unique and special ways. If you don't like what he has to say just ignore him. If you fancy having it out with him, then go to it. personally, i disagree with pretty much everything he's ever said. I don't particularly dislike him though. I suspect we'd end up coming to blows if we ever did meet irl....and I don't mean that in the good way.
