NSFW: Tattooed grandmother
4 Attachment(s)
I was going to IotD these but they're NSFW, and NSF a lot of other things as well. I think they might stimulate discussion, so I'm giving them their own thread.
These pics were forwarded to me, I have no idea of the details. I discussed this with a friend? Is this art? or attention whoring? Is it the enhancement of her body? or the debasement of it? Our conclusion was that while the graphics of the tattoos are in a traditional sense art, the act of being tattooed like this was performance art in that it had made us stop and think about the way people treat their bodies. some people just can't stop at one.

and yay! for tattooed and pierced grandmothers. We are a special breed. That lady had to have been collecting for many, many years. |
I don't get all the metal in her crotch. What's with the 3 little balls on chains?
They are weights.
OK, that makes even less sense to me...what is the purpose of pulling down on the rings??
For purposes of exhibition at the convention, they are probably just decorative; swinging weights can also produce pleasurable sensations
Ahhh. I wondered if they were all there all the time. That's a lotta crap to jam in your undies, if you wear them.
piffle! I know lots of folks with more metal than that. I even know a few folks with as much tattoing.
It's not a competition, you know? Only sometimes . . . it is! :) |

I hope I am in that good of shape and that comfortable with my body at that point in my life. I find this sort of thing admirable. |
? such metal does not react to magnets--it's stainless steel ?
and yeah, she's in pretty good shape. Good for her! |
I guess that is true...I didn't think of that! :)
I think about it every time I pass through a metal detector. :)
My first thought was that, much like a hotel carpet, the busy pattern serves to hide the stains. :)
This reflects my artistic aesthetic more than my opinion of full-body tattooing, however--I just like things that my brain can interpret, that's all. Too much crammed into one place without any apparent cohesiveness is not appealing to me. I have seen many tattoo sleeves or other large murals that I've liked. |
That's good, I was wondering if I was odd for first noticing the shape of her body, instead of the fact that a naked grandmother was shaking her groove thang on my screen. That much work sort of blends together from this distance.
it does. it's a very traditional style, but I prefer more white space. Age tends to blur the lines, so white space around images makes them clearer in the long run.
I love the contrast between hands/head/neckline and the rest of it. Wearing a suit and tights, apart from the nose piercings, there's no hint as to what is underneath -the hair and makeup and nail polish are pretty old fashioned/mainstream -not a hint of rebellion in sight!

I love this comment. I shall keep it in mind for when I can't stand my stretchmarks any more. |
She's only 26 you know. (she had a hard life ;) )
Definitely performance art. I've got tats, but only a few. I'm not inclined to get more at this point in my life, but no doubt there'll come a time when I feel the urge again. I don't think I'll ever be able to afford to get my whole body covered though...unless I go on a diet... |

Horns aren't normal?
For tattooed grandmothers? Yes.
Think she babysits the grandkids much?
why shouldn't she? I mean, that's all covered, you know.
I reckon she got a bottle of gin and when she passed out, the grandkids found the permanent markers....
connect the dots?
They'd finished their coloring books, I guess.
good job it wasn't my kid
Who has that much time?
I guess Grandmothers do......:headshake |
Tats, rather than doing her nails or having a sandwich, during sex.
prob'ly knits, too.
Just wondering is those weights are speeding up what gravity is going to do to her cootch anyway

There are tattooed Grannies... and tattooed grannies.
tattoo people really don't care about the body shape or size. but they do care about good tattoos, which this lady does not have. Although she's probably been collecting for many years, and tattoos have really improved over the last twenty years.
After a while, it's better to have a whole body plan, than to continue to collect small, unrelated tattoos. |
Looks like they're done in marker and someone spilled a drinl on her right shoulder
I think the tribal tiger on her left cheek is 'shopped.
The green backpiece makes me wonder if she was an Army Nurse in Vietnam?
If memory serves me (and it sometimes does...not always), Vladimir Horowitz played Moscow aged 92 years.
Why is it that our societal conventions seem to dictate that we should abandon those things that make us who we are, simply because we age? I, for one, plan to be a pain in the ass when I'm 90, should I be blessed enough to attain that age. I hope to still play The Beatles at Volume 11 (I may need to, in order to hear them), and chase 90 year old poontang to the best of my limp dicked ability. The only thing undecorous about being old is *giving the fuck up*. |
as tom petty said " I don't know what I been told ,ya never slow down ya never grow old "
Well, if you want to see what they look like when they're younger.
Actually, this woman's tattoo reminded me of Cloud's picture. |
except, unfortunately, I never looked like that!
Here's hoping that lady lives to be a tattooed grandmother. Eventually, we all have a chance--they're not meant to come off, you know. |
I want to know where that picture was taken.... somebody's cellar?

I don't know Bruce, with all of those doodads in the pic, are you sure it wasn't your cellar? |
