OK, I made one. It's not nearly as clever as the rest of y'all, but it'll do.

Dinosaur Comics has been using the same image for every strip, since it started in 2003. Dumbass. That's the whole point.

That's missing something.

Oh yeah, my understanding of it.

Clodfobble 12-07-2009 03:08 PM

It's a scene from the movie Office Space (which is rather Simon-Peggish in its humor, I think you'd like it a lot,) in which disgruntled and underappreciated tech workers take a malfunctioning printer into a field and destroy it.

lumberjim 12-07-2009 03:36 PM

Quote:

PETER
I stole something.

MICHAEL
Oh yeah. I guess we all did.

PETER
No, I stole something else.

SAMIR
What did you steal?

PETER
We'll call it a going away present.

[Scene A field. They drop the printer. Samir stomps on it four times
and Michael, eight times. Peter hands Samir a bat. He hits the printer
twice and Michael takes over. He starts to punch it. Samir and Peter
pull him away, but he runs back to destroy the evil printer.]

Cut to Peter's place. Samir's trying to break dance.
HUH...a printer it is....it comes up when you search office space fax though.
guess my comic isn't funny now. thanks a LOT, sleeve.

Any time, any time.

ETA: the script there doesn't mention that the battering is all done in a kind of sports-movie slow-mo,

Clodfobble 12-07-2009 07:03 PM

...nor does it mention the awesome audio track playing in the background, "Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangster."

Cicero 12-09-2009 01:24 PM

Ok there's Zen-o-Saurus Rex but who is the other one? I am confused about the basic speaking parts.

Griff 12-09-2009 01:30 PM

That is a verbatum UG pontification directed at the notorious defender of totalitarians Mr. Zen, less one paragraph defending Abu Gharib.
