Ouch ! That's gonna leave a mark!

A legislative committee investigating Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has found she unlawfully abused her authority in firing the state's public safety commissioner.

That may hurt quite a bit. I believe the committe was bi-partisan.

regular.joe 10-10-2008 10:35 PM

Yea, right after she released her own report that said she did nothing wrong. I like that, very Republican these days.

ZenGum 10-10-2008 10:56 PM

Can anyone say "liability"?

Or should that be "lie ability"?

I would like to see more people in the White house, and political power generally, who are not middle-age white males. But I also require them to be competent and reasonably honest.

Condy Rice would have been ideal if she weren't so politically repellent to me.

Bi-partisan - that's good, right? Like bi-sexual.

classicman 10-11-2008 01:42 AM

...game over

ZenGum 10-11-2008 02:47 AM

Unless this is all part of The Master Plan, whereby McCain proves his maverick status by picking a (politely described) unlikely running-mate, but then finds an excuse to replace her with someone secretly wanted all along.

But shhhh! Don't tell anyone it was me that told you. They're watching everyone.

Hitlery Clinton! :D

Compared to the transgressions of the last 8 years, this finding is not that dastardly, but it's enough for me. Particularly because her spouse was involved in it, too. Replacing her is the better choice but I read somewhere that it is not in McCain's power to do so. Once she accepted the nomination it became an RNC matter and 147 (?) of them would have to agree. Of course, now I can't find the info again.

xoxoxoBruce 10-11-2008 12:21 PM

I think you're right but I'm sure she would bail out if McCain asked her to.

regular.joe 10-16-2008 08:55 PM

You know, I'm just plain tired of being lied to. Pick a party, doesn't really matter.

I'd rather she said, yea, the dick fucked with my sister, oh and yea he's a bad cop, and I'm in a position to do something about it. If you don't fucking like it, elect some one else next term.

Just quit lying to me. Please.

TheMercenary 10-16-2008 08:59 PM

[sarc]Joe, you really need to stop thinking like a normal human being with loved ones. It is just so unbecoming. Think about the children. You know if you were a true member of the communista you would fall in line and join us in the stoning and attacks on her and her family. It is really important to the cause. We are the sheep. Join us now or die. Free CHE![/sarc]

Pico and ME 10-16-2008 09:47 PM

Well, if you would only start by ignoring the lies about a blowjob, then that would be a start.

Which lie would that be? We aren't talking about DNA on a blue dress are we? :lol2:

Pico and ME 10-16-2008 09:52 PM

???

He got into trouble for lying about it. Or doing it. Hell, I dont know, the whole thing was stupid.

TheMercenary 10-16-2008 10:31 PM

yea, well look it up.

Pico and ME 10-16-2008 11:28 PM

So Merc, did you jump on the bandwagon against Clinton when he was caught lying about 'a blowjob'?

Or in other words, when conservatives lie its a different story?

classicman 10-17-2008 09:29 AM

No different to me - they are politicians - they all lie. It seems to have become some sort of requirement.

Jump on the bandwagon? Not hardly. I drove the truck pulling it. Clinton and his wife are power hungry morons, hopefully well will have heard the last of them on the presidential stage after this election is over. Slick Willie has proven himself to be a total tool.

Conservatives are the other side of the same coin, they are politicians, they all lie to get elected and lie to stay in office.

I always thought bisexual people have it easy. They've doubled their chances of having sex. Do they flip a coin and say, "Heads it's head, and tails it's tail?

Hey! That's my conspirary theory.

It's too late to dump Palin. The Republican base loooooooves her. It's only the intelligent Buckleyites and independents who are appalled.

Say what you will about the Democrats, and many of you do. But they don't have to pander to their 'base' anywhere near as much as Republicans do. Noone in the Republican party wants to see what a "Christian jihad" would look like. Probably burn down that wonderful 'big tent'.
