I knew I should have taken photos on my hike yesterday. The aspen's are just starting to turn here. Well, next hike I'll take the photos.

That silhouette of your children is a wonderful shot! You have a good eye. What camera are you using and do you usually keep it at auto?

Those pictures are beautiful, jinx! We get mostly yellow around here. I love seeing the reds and burgundies.

The puppy likes to get right under my feet while we're hiking. She runs. She stops...she runs...stops right next to my feet.....

I was concerned for both LJ and his camera when he wiped out, but I l'd mao about the first 6 times I saw the tape of it.... the sound is the best part...

Pico, its a Sony a100 with the 18-200mm lens on. I usually start out out with it on auto and adjust from there.

Yeah, it was the little 'umph' noise that got to me and then the still shot after the camera landed. It was classic comedy. I assumed that since he kept it in there, he though it was funny too.

It's kinda romantic. The background music made it whimsical. Even the wipe out tugs at the heart. It was an awww moment. Although I almost choked on my butterhorn.

Ah - I didn't follow up on this thread after seeing the first post because I was waiting to take my own (shamefully amateur) Autumn pictures.

Still, I was delighted to see why the Americans set such store by the Fall.
I enjoyed the Fall so much in this video it inspired me to want to go to America next year. I'd love to see the Fall first hand. I haven't seen anything in England (in fact in the Uk, the British Isles or even Europe) that matches the Fall here.

I thoroughly congratulate you for capturing the Fall in all its glory.



PS - genuinely, lovely vid. Apart from the bit that looked like beetles crawling all over the screen, too close to the DTs for me.

it's funny. I can do a freaking hour and a half on the treadmill, and keep my composure pretty well. halfway up the hill on this trail though, and i was gasping for breath. fucking jinx is a slavedriver too.

You can do whatever you like with 'em. I was actually trying to shoot a new desktop background, but they're a bit too busy for my cluttered screen.

A few fall colors from the other weekend at Backbone State Park. A lot of leaves had already dropped, and the cloudy day takes away from the intensity of the leftover leaves, but here you go anyway :)

A couple shots from behind the shelter where we ate our dinner. The sun was peeking out from under the clouds on it's decent and made a pretty shot.

Was it crowded? I was there the week before, and it was insane.

Extremely crowded. We parked on the road a couple minutes' walk from the lot. The second set of pictures is from the access road on the opposite side of the canal from the towpath. That was much less crowded, and resulted in some of my favorite pics.

Gawd, you people with your seasons. We went swimming yesterday.

78 degrees today, a bit of a cold spell last week with temps in the 60s.

Seasons. I miss them.
I was sweating on the Tube today. Light jumper and light cape.

Okay I might still be running a slight temperature, but to have sweat running down my face in November... Sigh.

We went swimming today.
They put the tent over one of the outdoor pools weeks ago... it was bathtub water warm.

Sorry it's so late, but it is still Autumn here after all.
Walking back to my parents' house from the local shop.

We live on what was originally built as a Council Estate (aka The Projects) but it can still look good. Just too bad the field in front of the house is now another part of the estate - still, we had it when we were growing up.
