What's annoying the crap out of your today?
The house under construction up the road has been 'under construction' for 6 fucking months!
I'm sick of the fucking noise. I'm sick of the builders cars all over the street. I'm sick of the fucking delivery trucks driving up and down the street. I'm sick of the whole fucking show...and I'm not the only neighbour who feels this way. They've copped serves from several of them. It's not even a McMansion, so I don't know what the fuck is taking so long. They must be from Retarded Builders United. |
Yea but I bet you are the only neighbor who is prego. :D
|
I think I am the only one on this street, but they're still fucking annoying everyfuckingone.
There should be some sort of time limit on these things. |
thank god there isn't, I'm on YEAR 8.
|
lol...glad I'm not your neighbour.
eta: Although one man renovating his home is going to make much less noise than a full (or what seems like a full) construction crew. Our old neighbours were always doing something to their house and it never bothered us. It's just this house. It's the devils house! |
Yeah, we only had the full on crew with dueling radios and "special work words" at the top of their lungs for about 4 or 5 days.
|
lol...I like the 'special work words'. I do a lot of working apparently.
|
"I don't understand why we have to use this old stuff. At my last job, whenever I asked for a new computer or different software, they just gave it to me."
|
Me too, I could have sworn the millimeter (20 months old) said "for fuck's sake" today.
|
and I'll bet you laughed at the thought right? :D I know I always found it hard not to laugh when my boys were little and used 'working words'. lol
|
Okay whats annoying the crap out of me today... hummm where should I start... even at work it was a hassle . Pullled all the paper work to move a student from my room to the next level. Get it all done and boss comes in and says shes not moving after all because another student isn't come back. Okay that was a plus because the child was a pain in my ass for sure... At the end of the day my last student was having a hissy fit over a pacifier.. she is past 3... I told her sister not to give it too her and she bit the sister on the leg so mom said throw it away which I did. Said brat was screaming so mom just picked her up to leave. Mom saw some cookies on the way out.. me not thinking said she could have some.. she gave them to the brat child. ARRGGGGG
At home the mail has in it letters saying 1- my housepayment is going up 100.00+ a month because my taxes went up 150.00 and insurance went up 50. so $200 + a -500 to make up is costing me 12000+ a year. The next letter was from the bank saying I was overdrawn. The overdraft was a paypal payment that was supposed to go to my credit card. My new computer... okay another plus sorta.. doesnt have the passwords stored of course and what i have written down wont work, cant get to pay pal , had to fight to get here, cant get to myspace.....just want to run screaming into the night. Oh yeah, bank is calling about another cc that they say is late, which it isn't at all, gotta call them tomorrow, just couldnt face it tonight.......okay i will stop now..... thank you for tuning in and tuning out at the same time..... Damn I hate Mondays |
Sounds like a really crap day TF. I hope the sunshine brings some better things for you mate.
|
So far nothing is annoying the crap out of my your today. But I just got up.
|
My yesterday was annoying the crap out of my yesterday, and today annoyed the crap out of my today...and it looks to continue for the rest of the week.
Here's what happened (it's been a funny kind of annoying): we arrived at work Monday morning to water POURING down the walls by the windows and into the cubicles on that side. I'm on the windows. I guess the campus police found it around 5 am, and the plumbers got there at 6. A pipe burst on the fourth floor...they had an inch of water up there I guess. So my two cow orkers who always get there early, were trying to save our computers, our printers, and our personal items, and IT came up and grabbed everything...but a lot of it was already full of water: monitors, towers, printers...one guy, who is on vacation this week, had a giant rack of paperwork that was soaked. So us window cube dwellars have been sent to different departments to try to get work done, which has been pretty cool (I'm in registration, and it's interesting to watch their processes because at my old job you were among all the other student service departments) but then you find you can't get logged in, get that fixed, can't connect to our college wide system, get that fixed, use another computer to try to run an important process that can only be run from a select few systems, have to get all the stuff fixed for it to work. So it's kind of annoying, but a little exciting. At the very least, I got a few jokes in. I'm still kind of quiet most of the time, but I got big laughs when I told my cow orkers that I thought I heard they were sending us some FEMA cubicles, and then later when I broke into "Rainy Days and Mondays..." So we're out of our offices all week while they tear it down, dry it out, replaster, etc. But I have a deadline Friday, and this isn't making getting there any easier!!!!! |
Well, that's a funny story Shawnee...only thing I want to know is; what does a cow orker look like? :D
|
We're a very diverse group of cow...er, orkers.
It's always cow orkers in the Cellar. If I had written co-workers I could have been shunned! :) |
She said co-worker! She's a witch! Burn her!
A similar pipe-burst occured in Adeliade a few years back - CBD office building, pipe on eigth floor, burst, leaks all down fire stairs and across most floors in the building. Only this was a sewage pipe! |
the p was omitted.
Actually they're cow porkers. Carry on...nothing to see here..... |
The crap was completely annoyed out of my today when I was informed that the dishwasher, which I just spent about $100 bucks fixing, now has newer, more expensive problems. Probably a circulator pump, but I won't know until I can test it. I'm wondering what the practical life span of these things is. It is a 5 year old Frigidaire.

This was my work office rf Thursday around 5 pm. It hadn't changed as of Friday at 5 pm. :p
|
One of my next door neighbors has been playing his or her stereo since the early afternoon. Not very loud, but seems they have it right against the wall that I share with them, so that I've been treated to various tempos of bass for several hours now.
What makes it just a little more annoying is that I can't just go knock on their door and tell them to please cut the bass--their apartment is in a different building from mine. So I am sitting here hoping they either go out, or that their electric will be shut off any minute from nonpayment. |
People who don't fucking stop when the school bus has its flashing stop sign out- there are several every day, and a state cop did it on Friday.
|
Sorry about that Blue, we used to have a neighbor(in our condo building) who did it, until 2 am sometimes, until I called the cops. I felt the sorriest for his 2 school age kids.
|
Up the ante, blue. I have at my disposal two massive Cerwin-Vega 18" speaker cabinets and 1200 watts of power. We can do far more damage than they can.
|
can't you do some damage with a really big magnet?
|
Only if it's attached to a really big speaker.
|
Jim has a point, build a wicked electro magnet and shut them down from your side... or ask them nicely to move the speaker. Is apartment living worse than it used to be now that crap music focuses more on the bass?
|
Well, I can't get to their apartment to ask, unless I use one of MB's drills to make a hole in the wall to talk through...eh.
Super magnets and 1200 watt speakers it is then! If nothing else, they will at least cause the power grid to go down for the evening. Thanks for the great suggestions. |
Damn UT!
What you running over there? My guess is a CS-1200 through a board. I'd love to have a 1200 watt amp. Throw me a bone, dude. |
Drill a hole in their wall and fill it with propane. No wait, you share that wall. Better not do it.
|
Oh I'm good for power! I have a QSC 1850HD power amp, which does 600W per two channels into 4 ohms... or 1800W in "bridge mono" mode for one channel into 4 ohms. The two Cerwin-Vegas link up to be 4 ohms, so that's 900W per channel. I think they can take it but I'm not sure. If anybody smells smoke...!
I also have a Stewart power amp which does 600W for two channels... and it's like 18 lbs. That's my rig amp. |
Damn.
That makes me moist. I run a CS800 thru a 16 channel board into 2 SP1's. And if I'm really partying I can always add 2 15" Peavey monitors in series. I don't have any neighbors. But if I did, I'm sure there'd be some shit. |
grinders are annoying me today...on the same building site.
I don't think it's ever going to end. |
My office looks the same: nothing was done over the weekend. I feel like boat people.
Also, I'm sick of cold weather. It's March, the time of year I start dreaming of spring. At the very least, let us have some of that winter storm so we close down and I can stay home warm and cozy. ;) |
Snow is annoying me.
I had scheduled a day off from work and was looking forward to a day of peace and quiet at home. Now the kids are here bouncing around. |
I gave up and took the rest of the day off, with blessings from the Director. I was at a complete standstill due to software locations and connectedness, my tummy hurt, and the thought of trying to find anything to do the rest of the day was inconceivable. I have plenty to do; just no means to do most of it right now. grrrr...now they're saying MAYBE our offices will be up again on Friday. Oh well, at least the job comes with lots of time off. I'd rather save it for when I get hit by the proverbial bus...but oh well.
|
I was just getting sorted for my midday nap when the people who own the house next door showed up to trim the edges and do the lawn.
There goes that plan. :( |
So, make yourself a cuppa and watch them at it.
Hard work fascinates me. I could sit and watch it for hours. Mark Twain. |
They're almost done now I think. I'll have my nap soon. :)
|
I went to the interview and the job sounded great but complex. Then they told me how much they would pay for it. :(
I was not happy. And I did not hide that fact. I made them explain it to me......Budget budget budget...But I knew that already...... When they started going on about people there more qualified, I layed it all out for them. Then they started the trip about the opportunities to grow within the company and rolling out incentives next month. It is still not enough. I am rather disappointed that they would try to get away with hiring someone to do their accounting, sales figures, and management for a very low wage. I know I got a shitty look on my face. They said it was an "entry level" position and that is why the wage is so low. Bullshit bullshit bullshit. I know contractors making 45 to 60 an hour for the accounting alone. MMmm....I am not happy with this. So...that did not go well. |
sorry to hear that.
|
Update: They called back right after I wrote that and asked me to come in on contract that very minute. I am already off work! :)
2 jobs! Yah!!! :) |
Good for you!
|
Thanks Classic! The two jobs combined won't add up to much...But it is definitely more than I have now!
Awesome! ;) |
My sister found my nekkid pic on the Cellar. That really doesn't annoy me at all. The fact that she took the time to chat with Mom about it... now that annoys the piss outa me. So now Mom says that it would be a disgrace to my family if I go through with the full frontal.
Mom: " No son of mine........." Sheesha |
Disgrace to the entire Howdy family?
|
Now howdy-doody then?
|
lol...that's pretty funny cap. How old are you again?
|
Seinfeld:
Naked, dressed what's the difference? |
I'm currently Howdy do-do.
And thank you. |
How did your sister know there was a nekkid picture of you on the cellar? What did she have to put into google search to find that?
|
She knows I'm a Cellar dwellar. You do the math.
|
Is she a poster?
|
Negative.
She's a noser.:lol2: |
