What time is it?

So daylight savings time ended over the weekend. My time doesn't match Cellar time anymore.

So what time is it? It is currently 9:43 a.m. here...what time is it in PA?

(My direction dyslexia relates to time as well as space. Seriously.)

Spexxvet 11-02-2009 08:53 AM

it's 9:52 am eastern standard time, right NOW!

Shawnee123 11-02-2009 08:59 AM

But the Cellar says it's 10:53, at the time of your post.

Spexxvet 11-02-2009 09:02 AM

My Cellar time is accurate for my location. Did you move to a different time zone? :D

Shawnee123 11-02-2009 09:10 AM

Not that I know of. Anyway, where ARE you located, Spexx?

Sheesh, now I'm just more confused. HELP!

MY SCREEN SHOWS AN HOUR LATER.

Am I not making this point clear?

Shawnee123 11-02-2009 09:25 AM

Shawnee123 11-02-2009 09:26 AM

That's freaky. I thinks only UT will be able to fix/explain it.

Spexxvet 11-02-2009 09:34 AM

what's your computer clock read?

Shawnee123 11-02-2009 09:37 AM

10:35 A.M.

Yeah, weird, huh? I get frustrated with my lack of perception re: direction and time...hence giant font. Beware Giant Font.

I had to stop and think this morning why in the heck it would be LIGHTER out in the morning, and explain to myself that the clocks went back. Sigh.

glatt 11-02-2009 09:45 AM

I think it's the cookies. Try eating one of those cookie things? ;-P

lumberjim 11-02-2009 09:55 AM

It's 11:25 here

Shawnee123 11-02-2009 09:56 AM

You're high.

I tried deleting cookies...didn't work.

User CP, edit options, scroll almost to the bottom. there you can choose your time and whether to observe daylight savings or not. Check that it's right. If it's still showing the wrong time when you have it set right, pick a time zone that shows the time you want it to show. Mine went an hour wrong for no apparent reason last year. I just reset it to a different time zone until it fixed itself and then I went back to eastern.

Shawnee123 11-02-2009 10:31 AM

Thanks mon...that fixed it.

Now I can relax. ;) Don't worry, my font is worse than my bite.

monster 11-02-2009 10:36 AM

I'm saying nothin' but yw. Now, when you coming to see me? it's time for a visit, that's what time it is.

"The clock on the wall says three o'clock -- last call, for alcohol!"

Fall Back is my favorite of all holidays.

That extra hour of sleep is great, and it's nice that there is some light when the alarm clock goes off in the morning.

Shawnee123 11-02-2009 11:01 AM

Clocks forward in the spring was preferred in my bar-workin' days! "GET OUT NOW! IT'S 2:30 not 1:30!"

Monster, I will do some ponderin' on that visiting! I would love to visit!

True. I guess I don't mind that it's dark when I get home though. Tis that time of year. grumble grumble

Is it spring yet?

SamIam 11-04-2009 09:23 PM

I was not feeling good, so I lay down for a short nap at 4:00. At 8:00 my alarm began making its nasty wake-up call sounds. I staggered out out of bed only to notice that it was very dark still outside. Was this some artifact of the time change? No. But I had my coffee started and everything before I realized it was 8PM - not 8AM. :smack:
