Super Bowl
Wow! The Who suck!
|
Any good commercials yet? I'm partial to Puxatawny Polomolu... amusing.
|
i kind of liked 'little Kiss'
but I had a nice nap during the Who's performance. never liked those guys. |
I saw The Who back in 1990. They sucked then, they suck exponentially more now.
And I saw some old man beer belly - way grosser than nip. |
Sean Peyton gets the brass balls award!

Yeah much grosser than nip. |

they shouldnt play songs that have them in, IMO.
just do the safe shit. |
wow... this is becoming a game
|
It should be all offense from here on out.
|
What is that song I keep hearing...they just used it on the last NFL commercial.
|
"Hope I die before I get old." HA!
|
Ooh. I'm glad I decide to root for the Saints. Nice interception, guys!
|
Huge play.

teh Saints are ghey
|
Who sucked, saints rocked ...but I'm confused about the 2-point second touchdown thingie for the saints -the one they had to consult the instant replay. why didn't they do the goal kick thing and why two points?
|

That Colts #66, though..... what a fucking porker, hips wider than shoulders -with pads. It's all very well being able to knock the oppo over, but he'll naver catch them given the way his team mates left him behind as he waddled onto the field
|
thanks, jinx
|
worst ads ever
|
I've seen worse
|
the Coke ads lead the league in suck
oh,,, and godaddy....? what the lack of tits? |
The commercials were pretty conventional, the Who is no longer talking about their own generation, and I was very disappointed that ALL of the guitars survived the performance.
Go Saints, though. That was quite cool. I'm big on the Underdog thing. |
They had the Who mixed very badly. They haven't had *good* voices for 25 years, but it was harder to tell when the vocals weren't mixed totally out front of the music. Killer light show, though.
|
The light show was very good. And the music was pretty decent at times. But the vocals sucked.
We put the sound through the stereo when the halftime show started, and maybe that helped. |
YAY SAINTS!
(am i too late?) |
If you don't have a John Entwistle to play bass, because he's dead, a Pino Palladino is the only acceptable replacement.
|
Trying to generalize the punch buggy game to the whole VW line really didn't work. But Stevie Wonder was funny.
And there were too many commercials without pants. Didn't get that. They needed a more sentimental Budweiser Clydesdale ad this year too. The Bull one was cute, but did not touch greatness or cause tearing. |
Not a who fan here -- except for the ones in the Grinch. :)
But it always chaps me when the two guys remaining from some ancient rock group "reunite" and bill themselves as the whole deal. I mean, if Page & Plant reunite (again) would they really be Led Zeppelin? Shouldn't be the "Who" - should've been the "Two." And man, were they awful. |

Nope, thats not the one. There were no words, just a chorus making 'ahhh' like music. They played it in the NFL Network commercials...one showed in slow motion a player leaping for a touchdown over a defensive player. The music is awesome. Anybody remember ? |
very slow today; everybody must be hungover
|
Not a clue.
|
Not wearing pants is the new black.

The best one didn't get shown.

I :heartpump Conan.
those other guys are TOO OLD. there. I said it. |
I read earlier today that this Super Bowl broke all records for tv viewers. Formerly held by the last episode of M*A*S*H. It's amazing too, because with cable and the internet out there, fewer and fewer people watch network tv.
The big East Coast snow storm had everyone inside watching tv, and it seems it was the only good thing on. CBS is taking credit, but it was the snow. |
JUst happy I wasn't in Nu Awrlins that night.
