folks that can't get here

Via email, I'm hearing that xoB has computer problems, and SG is having problems accessing only the Cellar. Just to let you know.

Trilby 05-18-2010 08:14 PM

thanks - you magnificent beast.

:D

HungLikeJesus 05-18-2010 09:28 PM

Did you send a tow truck?

monster 05-18-2010 10:02 PM

No, a toad truck :p:

HungLikeJesus 05-18-2010 10:15 PM

No, I'm sorry, it was a toe truck.

monster 05-18-2010 10:29 PM

I hope you're footing the bill.

sexobon 05-19-2010 02:17 AM

So, does this mean that electromagnetic interference from sun spots is targeting individuals; or, that The Cellar has OD'd on posts by xoB and SG?

Pie 05-19-2010 06:22 AM

Whoo -- one of the mods is offline. Does that mean we can run amok?

I went past that building most weekdays for years. I was working on my comp sci degree at Seattle Pacific and it was on the way.

BigV 05-19-2010 10:31 PM

Found him. He's probably in Radio Shack getting something to fix his computer.

skysidhe 05-20-2010 09:37 AM

computer problems suck :(

Hurry back!

Sundae 05-21-2010 01:40 PM

Am back!
Thanks to awesome help from the Toad.
I've got a lot of old posts to read, but I'll work through them now normal service has resumed.

Am disappointed to see no-one realised Bruce and I were in fact in Vegas together...

classicman 05-21-2010 02:23 PM

We just all figured that what happens in Vegas....
Ya know.

Tulip 05-26-2010 02:54 PM

Bruce is still having computer problems? What kinds of problems? Anything we can help with?

monster 05-26-2010 09:38 PM

It's a euphemism for RSI brought on my too much wanking to porn preventing typing to cellar.

lumberjim 05-26-2010 09:54 PM

last I heard, he was ordering a new system.

monster 05-26-2010 10:02 PM

right hand first then left to finish?

xoxoxoBruce 05-29-2010 02:01 AM

Well, I got a new box with windows 7, a couple days ago. 7 has no email client so then the fun began.
Tried MS Live... horrendous. Mozzilla Thunderbird... not much better.
Yeah, yeah, I have a Gmail account I give out to websites. That doesn't suit my needs.
So I upgraded to 7-pro, and downloaded Virtual windows for XP, and Outlook Express. But, I'm having trouble getting photoshop, ReaConverter, etc, into the virtual windows. I liked the setup I had, because I send a lot of emails, and many of them get forwarded, but since I've been on Verizon (Sept), I've received 0, yes zero, spam.
Anyway, I've got a shitload more setting up to do, and some personal stuff to deal with right now, but I shall return.

sexobon 05-29-2010 04:11 AM

XoB is back in the saddle again and this time he's riding with the Magnificent Seven (Windows 7)! Vaya con Dios Bruce.

Adios. :biggrinba

fargon 05-29-2010 06:35 AM

Yeah Bruce is back, we all have to be nice. Where oh where has my Sundae Girl gone?

Clodfobble 05-29-2010 07:50 AM

Hooray!

You can't keep her to yourself forever. Let Sundae out of bed already.

It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

Pie 05-29-2010 09:00 AM

Supposedly, Windows Live Mail (free client for Win7) is pretty good. Mr. Pie has been using it. (I use Thunderbird.)
Good to see you back, Bruce!
