So. Fucking. Jealous. Right. Now. ETA: Plthijinx, Ima check out all your Flickr shit. All ur Flickr r belong to me. |
pljnx, if you ever find yourself in Pensacola, Fl., the US Navy Aviation museum is by far the best one I have ever been to. We have The Mighty Eight Museum here in Savannah, very good but you can do it in an afternoon. I have been to the Air and Space museum in Washington D.C. but none of them compare to the one in Pensacola.
Here is a link: http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/ And a taste of what is inside: http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/g...ibits-(1).aspx The place is frigging huge and if you go on a holiday or a weekend, crowded. You can do it in a day by skimming through exhibits if you get there early when it opens, but it is best to do it over 2 full committed days. Worth the trip. Just thought I would share. |

Great pics, plt. I love the pictures of the city from the sky.

Phlt , You Need to go see the Ariforce Museum in Dayton Ohio ,
Litterly from the Wright Brothers flyers to the MOST Advanced stuff today , Even experimental stuff , Ever seen a P51 with a 105 howitzer on it ?? Didnt work so well , the Planes tended to go Backwards when it fired !!!!! Good thread MAN !!! |

I remember that, you were flying radio relay for the oil rigs after Katrina.
The Air Force has the latest whiz-bang, but I think the Navy has the most interesting specialized aircraft. Lots of low production oddball rigs. |
The CAF moved Fifi to Addison here in Dallas. I'm going to go see her again, now that her engines are all better!

nice brian, i'd def go see her that c-130 is a monster! i wonder what firing the howitzer does for yaw? |
