Hello, new guy here.
I look forward to conversing with you all.
|
Welcome, John.
Sit back, relax...jim will be along with a quiz in due time. |
Hello John, I'm fargon. And I look forward to conversing with you.

Chuck Taylors, a veritable icon in the world of shoes. We were too poor to buy the fanciest schmanciest basketball shoes when I played in HS, but I didn't care 'cause I loved my Chucks. :)
|
Does Chuck Norris wear chucks?
I don't get these threads. What is the point of an "introduction thread" if you don't actually introduce yourself? Arse-sellers indeed. |
Faulty Towers.. John Cleese wrote the name of a difficult client as
"R.Sole" I was planning on using that as a chat name. hi pleased to meet you, I'm ................. |
Don't mention the war

How is it polite if you don't say anything about yourself?

He's from Poland? See he should have mentioned that in the introduction
|
As long as he's not of these loonie Brits, we'll be ok.

The OP just did the virtual equivalent of walking into our coffee shop and saying, 'Oh, hello my name's John, pleased to meet you'. Oh, and welcome to the Cellar, John. |

I disagree, dana. I think it's AWing to start a new thread without saying something other than hi. But that's Ok, there's always room for another. And meanwhile we've kept the thread nice and warm. And stylish.
sexobon, I think you're on to something |
Sellers or Spammers?
|
I think he might be a Jehovah's Witness. Quick, shut the door
|
lol
Nah. If he's a Jovo invite him in and put him in the room with the pentagram themed wallpaper. Or stick him Bri's room and leave him to ponder the corn dollies. |
I go to the door in my Panda suit. When you start talking about furry love, they tend to leave quickly

************* The reason I don't intro myself other than saying hi is because it's redundant. Just check my profile, but gimie a few minutes, as I couldn't fill it out before my first post was approved. |
I'm still here. My posts had to be approved. I actually posted maybe 5 times so far.
|
Why don't Italians like Jehova's Witnesses?
hit ctrl +A Italians don't like ANY witnesses |

After you've done your research, you can come back and re-answer #6, 7 and 8. (I'll give you a hint on answer #6 - the answer is dolphin. Now you just need the question.) Also...hello! |
No, I don't think I have to. You see, I am whuchacall an asshole, and traditionally, assholes don't do whut they don't want to do. So you see, if I don't want to do as you suggest, I ain't gonna do it.

Monster, just havin a little fun... |
I swear someone else used that "in a van by the river" schtick before. Here in the Cellar. Anyone else remember that?
|
It's from a classic Saturday Night Live sketch, lots of people refer to it.
|
Ahhhhhh...thanks. Couldn't place it.
edit: chuckle...I was wondering how in the heck I didn't remember a 'classic' SNL skit, then I googled and found it was the Chris Farley era. Yeah. Not watchable. Was he shaking his belly around for laughs in that skit too? |
Yeah, the recurring character was only funny the one time David Spade and Christina Applegate were the other two cast members in the skit, and they just could not hold it together. Actors cracking up is one of those things I can't help but laugh at.
This Daily Show clip, for example, never fails to brighten my day. |
Ha!
I always loved when Tim Conway cracked up the cast on The Carol Burnett Show. |
