Monster has been in touch to tell me she has been admitted to the ER with stroke symtoms: numbness, vision problems...but no evidence of bleeding on her brain.

Let's all send the strongest vibes we can muster. I know how active she is, isn't a smoker, so i think that she will be just fine.

But she needs us. I will assume that she will have some info related from the cellar. I don't know about her phone capabilities but i can keep her apprised, or beest if he can.

With stokes time is of the essence. I'm glad it sounds as good as it does. With my experience with stokes, once at the hospital things get better. It's not like some disease that gets worse before it gets better. If she's pretty good now, that's a really good sign.

The last i heard, this morning, is that it was a stroke. They are still looking at stuff and will work on preventing more. Sorry, i know very little. I don't want to bug the crap out of her so i will wait for more info.

athanks all, hebe posted on my facebook for me but now I hAve my computer in hospital.

I have had a stroke! caused by a blockage in artery rto brain they are now investigating hole in heart as cause (maybe those who said I was heartless were right;) )

The bizarre thing is that I diagnosed myself because I have neglect, and two of the profs where got my phd are the leading experts in the field

A hole in the heart was what lead to my (good) co-teacher's stroke. She has made a very good recovery. I hope you do as well.

th4 inpqatient ewt1y 4or rehab they were threatening may not happen. visually I have a left field cut and I have no left limb coordinatiion. otherwise I'm fine, no hole in heart official diagnosis is cause unknown (there wF THE CEREBRAL ARTERIES, but no clotting can be found anywhere and cjolesterol plaque is unlikely

still in hospital tonight food is gruesome as is the arcgaic wake-you-up-to-make-sure-you're alive routine

monster, if there was ever anyone I knew who'd get themselves back in the game quickly and efficiently, it's you, so hurry up and get your arse outta bed and start on the rehab. You'll be fighting fit before you know it.

Channel that fighting spirit we all know you have and focus it on getting those limbs working properly again.
