Buster's test

New NIC card. Back again. I Had an upper GI test a week ago. Have a yeast infection in my Esopous?? And no, I've been eating down at the Y.
Went for blood work on Monday and screwed up and told my DR. that I was having chest pains. So an EKG and she said my breathing was bad.
She took me to ER, in her car, around the block and told them to give me a breathing treatment.
Well that didn't happen. Another EGK and more blood work, a chest x-ray. Never had a breathing treatment.
At 3:45 PM a DR. Came by and I told him, that at 4:15 I was going to unplug all the leads and be gone. Because I had no idea what time my Dr went home.
Anyway I called and she came and got me and took me to my car.
What service! I love my lady Dr. I guess there’s no protocol for what she wanted done.

Go figure. The VA clinic is provided by the same people as the ER. Maybe they’re double dipping?:mad2:

Wow, your doctor is indeed awesome! Sorry she couldn't get you any help at the ER...

This can be a tough choice. They can't fix you if you don't tell them what's wrong. But you know there is going to be a bunch of poking and prodding if you speak up, and they might not end up fixing you anyway. A functional crystal ball would be nice when making these decisions.

Gravdigr 06-26-2014 01:07 PM

Like that nice ladydoctor chauffeurs all her patients around like that...

...you sly dog you.;)

busterb 06-29-2014 07:47 PM

No word on on all the blood work done other day. Have a lower GI on Wednesday.
Can't hardly wait to drink all the good shit. Yah right!!!

Griff 06-30-2014 06:05 AM

Drinking that crap is a job and a half.

busterb 07-01-2014 05:28 PM

Drinking go-lightly and meds for upper GI tomorrow. From the pills label.
Take 4 tablets by mouth as directed. Qty. 2 tabs. Hello. WTF!

Big Sarge 07-01-2014 06:45 PM

Thinking about you. Do you have someone going with you to assist you after the anesthesia?

busterb 07-03-2014 12:52 PM

The above should have been "lower GI."
It's good. one polyp removed. Something that starts with a D, which I've had for years.

footfootfoot 07-03-2014 01:43 PM

Buster I really hope you will get a chance to use the "for all the good those pills did me doc, I might as well have shoved them up my ass."

Hope everything goes well.

Griff 07-03-2014 02:13 PM

Nice.

sexobon 07-03-2014 06:40 PM

Maybe all they found was a Dime but didn't tell him 'cause they wanted to keep it!

Big Sarge 07-03-2014 09:20 PM

After reading all the papers that came with my Symbicort, I find you should wash your mouth out after use. Guess I forgot a few times.

Gravdigr 04-24-2015 02:33 PM

Damn, if it ain't supposed to hang around in yer mouth, what the hell is it gonna do yer insides?!

BigV 04-27-2015 09:51 AM

presumably, the mouthpiece of the inhaler would be "unclean" and difficult to clean (that doesn't seem like a problem that would be difficult to fix, does it?) and cleaning one's mouth after using it is easier (and frankly more important). I guess.

glatt 04-27-2015 10:11 AM

I read it on the internet, so it must be true.
Quote:

Symbicort contains a steroid that can cause oral thrush, if the steroid is left in the mouth for a while. So it is best to wash out your mouth with water to cleanse out the steroid.

Symbicort contains a combination of budesonide and formoterol. Budesonide is a steroid that reduces inflammation in the body. Formoterol is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airways to improve breathing.
