oops

I might have been slightly full of BS in regards to all that stuff I posted, ever.

fargon 09-07-2015 06:34 PM

How so?

Flint 09-07-2015 06:47 PM

Not sure, exactly. I might be a manipulative sociopath who goes all out on these epic, ten-year trolling cons. I'm pretty sure that, at least, a bunch of what I've said was designed to provoke some kind of reaction. And, though I'm not sure about the specifics, it's likely that I never told anyone how I really felt about things.

I could be wrong, but, yeah, probably just disregard all those comments I ever made about anything.

fargon 09-07-2015 06:58 PM

Don't let the bastards wear you down.

Undertoad 09-07-2015 07:20 PM

Well,

sexobon 09-07-2015 07:21 PM

Did you have a Significant Emotional Event or something? :eyebrow:

[conniechung]Why don't you just whisper it to me, just between you and me.[/conniechung]

BigV 09-07-2015 07:30 PM

Maybe. But all that stuff had to come from somewhere inside you.

xoxoxoBruce 09-07-2015 09:36 PM

Of course it did, and only half, or less, in jest. Because he was as cocksure as he was cockeyed, king of the world. But when a person has the rug pulled out from under them, their world come apart, a normal person would take stock in who they are, and who the world thinks they are. Normally that spurs adjustments, some big and some small. I know Flint has had a big shakeup in his life, and I'm willing to accept he's come out of it a better person, until he proves otherwise.

You were saying something about something by calling it something, but not meaning anything?

(that was one of flint's suggested tag lines)

Griff 09-11-2015 03:28 PM

I take it Flint is running for public office.

lumberjim 09-11-2015 10:56 PM

I'm not so sure.

My guess is that he is having an identity crisis caused by the mother of his kids... Been there. Not fun.

DanaC 09-12-2015 03:32 AM

That was my thought too. I hope he comes back soon.

For what it's worth future-Flint, I am personally a big believer in this:

See the end there? If I am getting this right, that's you when you made this thread, having your "how did I get here" moment.

That is human, but it is also something that I have learned you can not take for granted. The dangerous ones are the pure innocent good ones - they will continue to be pure innocent and good no matter how they effect anyone around them. If you are reacting to guilt - not merely shame at how people think of you or regret at social consequences not going your way but actual genuine remorse - then not only are you not a sociopath but your a better person then a hell of a lot of people.

Well Flint, if could respond to this without sounding like a shit, I'd say there were some things you could have phrased less harshly, and maybe some things that might have been better left unsaid, but at the end of the day, no one's perfect and we all say and do things that others find offensive or or just plain mean.

Speaking for myself, I've noticed a big difference in your fb posts over the last few months.

Whatever has caused you to think you need to make changes, I hope it's for the right reasons, and not just because someone else is making you feel less about yourself.
