Confession Box

I tried to search, but it doesn't work on mobile browser. I need to tell someone what happened last night, but I figured a confession thread for anyone would be a good idea.

If this already exists, feel free to merge and/or delete

So, I am staying in an unfamiliar place. I am relying on my phone to get me back to my room. I got drunk last night. My phone battery was dying, so I asked a bartender if he could charge it. He said yes and "plugged" it in. I got it back with 1% battery and no idea how to get back to my room. Someone drew me a map, but I still got lost.

Apparently, drunk me decided to go to a fire station and pass out. I wake up surrounded by people and I'm sobbing, cold, and wet (it was raining). I remember telling them that my phone died and the bartender didn't care. Please don't call my parents. Please don't arrest me. Am I in trouble.

I wasn't in trouble or being arrested. They charged my phone enough to find the address of the place I am staying. Drove me home. I woke up with a swollen and bruised elbow. More bruises are appearing. I am considering therapy in the new year. I know I am a binge drinker type alcoholic. This scared the crap outta me. I had to tell someone.

That's bad bbro, you're really vulnerable to all kinds of at least trouble, and worse danger, in that condition. You have to work on the binge drinking, and take a wing person with you who you can trust to watch your back.

Also, keep your pants up, skirt down, and come home from school in a group. :crone:

I know, I know. I just don't have a wing person. My reasoning is that I expected the bartender to be human. He was shitty. I need to be better. I need to find fun outside of the bar (working on it). I'm actually happy drunk me chose the fire station, though. Safest place to be.

Gonna send them a gift basket. Stip laughing. Yes. Seriously

sexobon 12-23-2017 11:35 PM

Could it be that the bartender just decided you needed a wakeup call and declined to make things easier for you?

In any case, I carry a couple of fully charged spare batteries along with my phone even though I'm not someone a bartender would mess with.

captainhook455 12-24-2017 12:08 AM

Thirty five years ago I was a drunk, then a period of 11 years while working at Walmart. I haven't drank too much in the last 6 years.

I went to two rehabs and a part time one. I also liked coke. That didn't work. So I moved to SE NC to get away. This was in 89. Must be something to do for a living here. There wasn't.

I didn't do drugs anymore, because I didn't know anybody and they didn't know me. However this didn't stop me from drinking.

I would frequent different convenience stores for my 12 pack of Old Milwaukee. I didn't want to go to the same one everyday and they would think I was a drunk.

I would drink 8 cans and have 4 left. The third day I didn't have to stop.

I tried going to church. I caught a ride with the 2 preachers. They thought I was asleep in the back seat and were discussing how much tithes they could get out of me. The only thing I got out of that church was one of the preachers sister. She fucked my brains out.

I got married for 3 yrs that worked for a while.
My 2nd wife trained me like a monkey. A little at a time. Now I like next to never drink.

I am retired and my one vice is weed. She puts up with it cause I get mellow as a jello and she still has good pussy.

This is my confession. I am not proud of it I promise you not. Also I have never told anyone what I just told you guys.

limey 12-24-2017 05:38 AM

Bbro, Bruce gives sound advice, but without a wingman you must at least ensure your phone is fully charged before you go out to get, er, fully charged ...
But, yeah, I started reading your story fearing where it would end up ....

@sexobon - if so, then he's an asshole.

@captainhook455 - thanks for sharing

@limey - I agree with Bruce, too. I am very VERY lucky it ended as well as it did. My phone was charged when I left initially. I am not sure why it died so quickly. Instead of waiting that long, I need to leave earlier.

I am definitely considering therapy. I don't see any reason for me to drink for the next few months, anyways, since I'll be training for something. Perfect reason to dry up for a bit.

Not so much if you're doing it alone.

Gravdigr 12-24-2017 05:10 PM

Nah. It just takes a little extra effort.

sexobon 12-24-2017 05:20 PM

You can believe that if you want.

Gravdigr 12-25-2017 12:52 AM

Why would what I believe, or why, or how I, or anyone else, chooses to party make a difference to you? Or to anyone else? What's wrong with partying alone?

sexobon 12-25-2017 01:28 AM

In the safety of your own home it may not be a problem; but, the context of the OP was ETOH impairment in public places without someone to cover your six. It's unsafe and that's not doing it right. That's doing it stupid. That's why bbro got hurt. It may be worse next time. Past drunken behavior is not necessarily a reliable indicator of future drunken behavior. Luck can run out.

Gravdigr 12-25-2017 02:19 PM

Why ya gotta shit on things, man? Why ya gotta take a post, no two posts, that anyone, ANYONE, could see was straight fucking humor, and shit on it like some diarrheal safety nazi?

And why didn't you say any of that last post before ya shit on mine? Ya didn't say anything of the like. You said 'show us your bruise'. That shows your concern for her safety, and what you thought of her injury.

Do ya ever ask yourself when ya wake up in the morning, "What am I gonna shit on today?", or do ya wake up and just start shitting?

I have enough shit in my life, I don't need yours, or anybody else's for that matter.

Git back in ya fuckin' box.

sexobon 12-25-2017 09:21 PM

That hasn't worked for you anywhere else and it's certainly not going to work for you here. If you don't like it, hit the road Jack.

xoxoxoBruce 12-25-2017 11:19 PM

Oh stop it.

zippyt 12-25-2017 11:50 PM

grav , never argue with an idiot , they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Griff 12-26-2017 08:38 AM

Back to bbro's situation, some of us are not good at booze. 11 years ago I decided to take control of that aspect of my personality. We each have to find our own way but for me it was stopping, period.

sexobon 12-26-2017 09:45 AM

One of my additional duties as a SF medical specialist in the military was Alcohol & Drug Abuse Program Coordinator for my unit. I assisted with enrollments, monitored progress, and made recommendations to the command on who should be retained in the military and who should be discharged based on their progress; or, lack thereof.

I've not found making light of; or, treating people in those situations humorously to be useful. When it happens, it seems to mostly come from those in a similar situation who resent the initiative and progress others are making. I won't hesitate to redirect it back to a serious note.

Glinda 12-27-2017 12:05 PM

The hell, people? Smoke a bowl. Chill!

My drinking story: Way back in the '80s, I went on a pub crawl with some coworkers. I remember going to two or three bars, then the next thing I knew, it was 2 a.m. and I was in the back of a cab that had just brought me to my flat. Apparently, I paid the driver, as he let me go without any argument, but my wallet was completely empty. Don't know if I drank all that money or gave it all to the cabbie.

Nevertheless, my coworkers apparently never knew I'd blacked out - no reports of me acting crazy or doing anything out of the ordinary - but I sure as hell knew. I knew that I was incredibly fucking lucky, and incredibly fucking stupid. I never told anybody about this (until now).

Having no idea what happened that night was enough to sober me right the hell up, and I've never repeated the experience. Oh, I still drink, but very little and very responsibly. Bud is my go-to party favor. Oddly enough, I seem to be consuming less and less of either/both as a matter of course. No telling why, as I have enough money to buy what I want and I work from home these days, so I could partake any time I like, but I just don't seem to that much anymore.

I suppose getting older has something to do with it. My biggest vice these days is taking long afternoon naps. ;)

bbro 12-27-2017 02:25 PM

@Griff - yea, that might have to be the way I go, too. At least when it comes to drinking alone.

@Glinda - thanks for sharing. Sadly, this isn't the first time and none of the others scared me enough. I think waking up surrounded by cops and firemen may have done, though

I do have a fitness goal I am trying to reach by April 14th, so that could be a motivator to stay sober. After that, I'll have to find something new. Hopefully something hiking related. I am also focusing on paying off my credit card next year, so I won't have much fun spending money, so that will be good, too.

Thanks all

I hope so. My experience was nothing compared to waking up with random bruises and finding myself in a fire station (a good choice for a landing spot, though), but man, not knowing what the hell I did for hours scared the pee outta me.

Please be careful!

Smoking pot is probably waaaay dangerous for a reglar ol' suhvillyan. Idk, I've only been smoking it for 37 years, but, one of noboxeS' additional duties as a San Francisco medical specialist in the military was Alcohol & Drug Abuse Program Coordinator for his unit, he'll tell ya all about it. He won't help ya, but he'll tell ya about it. Show him ya bruise. I don't know why his dick needed a program to abuse drugs and alcohol, but, there ya go.

Maybe he drummed up business for the program. Y'know hang with the guys. I know hanging out w/noboxeS would make me abuse drugs and alcohol. After just a minute, prolly.

Myself, I didn't need no program, nor no stoopit old coordinator. I became an alcohol and drug abuser on my own. And I did it the old fashioned way. I unned it.

Heh. ;)

Weed's pretty much innocuous. Actually wildly beneficial in plenty of ways (and surely more ways that we haven't discovered yet).

FYI, for two years during my absence from The Cellar, I worked at a recreational pot store. They hired an old lady like me because I know a few things about it, knowledge gained from several decades of personal study.

Auntie Glinda sez: If you don't want to smoke, don't smoke. If you do (and you're of age), do. It's all good.

But blackout drinking . . . . is something different altogether.

*sparks up some high-CBD UW*

It's the festive season - there has been much bickering and bitching and general butting of heads around the Cellar

sexobon 12-28-2017 01:49 PM

I'll tell you right now, despite my username, there isn't going to be any make-up sex with these guys.

I don't swing that way.

DanaC 12-28-2017 02:05 PM

Tbf I think we're all a little relieved about that Sexo. There's been a sufficient amount of cock swinging already in this thread.

Maybe I read it wrong. Maybe not.

I've been noticing a pattern with sexobon where he saves up personal information about dwellers and then seems to attack them with it. Maybe that's not what this was.

That can happen when there's a confession clinic; but, not an argument clinic.

Griff 12-28-2017 02:24 PM

I clicked the button on that post to give glatt the heads up. It looked like stalker noboxes work to me. Prove me wrong by not being a shithead and driving Glinda off.

sexobon 12-28-2017 02:44 PM

Glatt,

I don't save up anything. The Cellar saves it. I just have a good memory. If someone doesn't like the way I apply my recollections, they're free to challenge the validity of the application. I do; however, expect the challenge to be more than - they just don't like it.

Griff,

Why would Glinda be driven off by a picture she posted? It looked like good times to me.

Nobody is driving me off. I don't mind that sexobon remembered/reposted my pic. I don't work there anymore. My name isn't really Glinda (and the name I go by isn't my given name, either). I've had an unlisted phone number for 25 years. I live at the end of a gravel road that's at the end of a gravel road way out in the woods, so finding me isn't easy even if someone does know my address.

My wonderfully protective neighbors keep track of traffic on my private road, I have four working video cameras around my property, and I keep a loaded Mossberg by the front door.

If there's any stalkering going on, I don't see it being very successful. But even if somebody should come after me here, my odds of survival are pretty darned good.

;)

glatt 12-29-2017 06:55 AM
