***Advance Photo WARNING***

Sorry no pic yet, but I thought I'd give enough advance warning for when I post my self pic here next week, just in case anyone wanted to take counselling first.

In the second picture, you look like someone's just called you a really insulting name, and it's really pissed you off. Did you kick someone's ass after you took this picture?

Undertoad 05-21-2003 08:49 AM

Standard bloke, no eye wash needed. I forget, what part of Britain are you in?

Chris MC 05-21-2003 09:32 PM

Central Southern England, Hampshire ... Southampton ... where TITANIC sailed from

wolf 05-21-2003 09:59 PM

I think he's just naturally surly. ;)

Nice pics, Chris!

Undertoad 05-21-2003 10:04 PM

And 8th in the Premiership, I notice. I poke my head up at the league from time to time. Especially now that my old sentimental favorite, Sheffield United, has the chance to move up into it with a win next week.

Unfortunately I'm not a follower, but I did listen to the FA Cup preambles last weekend on the radio and wasn't surprised that Arsenal won.

By best friend Tim who hasn't got ANY time for football at all (he reckons it's alternative to war) was rather miffed that I decided to listen to the match rather than go shopping with him ... ho hum.

LOLOL I was actually trying to look cool and masterful ... didn't work did it :D

slang 05-22-2003 03:31 AM

Although I generally regard humans outside of the US borders as worthless as tits on a left handed monkey, I appreciate your humor and openness.

Pics are always good, even if you look like you might kick the dog's ass into orbit after the photo has been taken.

[wise] Are you allowed to appear angry without a permit in England (or the UK, whatever)? [/ass] :)

STEP OUTSIDE SIR!
The British are superior to the rest of the World ... Slang duly steps outside ... Chris runs over to the door and locks it then hides down in the cellar ... not easy, my house doesn't have a cellar :D

slang 05-22-2003 04:37 AM

(slang knocks on the door) Can I come back in? I have some burgers. American burgers......the type that solve all diplomatic ills. Do you need permission from the Queen to eat burgers? American burgers?

Ahem. You're in the Cellar, sir.:p

Chris MC 05-22-2003 05:33 PM

I've never had an American burger ... are they big?

wolf 05-22-2003 05:45 PM

Everything in America is bigger and better, Chris! Ugly American hyperbole aside, often they are. 4 oz. burgers (before cooking) have become fairly standard fast food fare, and some chain restaurants stack 'em up ... double or triple burgers at Wendy's for example. Many sit down restaurants will serve 6 or 8 oz. burgers, and I've even seen a 16 oz burger. I'm sure SOMEBODY orders that, but I personally regard such a thing as a novelty item.

elSicomoro 05-22-2003 09:10 PM

I have a friend that lives in Hampshire...I think. Andover is the town.

I have a preference to Chelsea...it's who I play on FIFA 2003.

Chris, you may have read some stuff in the media about how the United States is becoming an incredibly obese nation. For all the health food fanatics we have in this country, we like everything supersized. Supersized sodas, supersized burgers, supersized portions, etc. You'll eat well if you ever come over here, but you better make sure you exercise regularly. You could gain 10 pounds your first day here if you're not careful.

Undertoad 05-22-2003 09:23 PM

I've et 2/3rds of a 16oz burger. At a coffee shop in Vegas at 3 am. OMG, ANOTHER THREAD gets hijacked into a food and drink discussion.

Chris MC 05-23-2003 12:53 AM

Blimey! your all making me hungry now!! :o I wouldn't say I was the slimmest of people and I'd prolly give myself two weeks in America before I came down with a serious eating disorder.

Undertoad 05-23-2003 10:25 AM

Hey, like the al Qaeda says, it's a decadent society. We shouldn't let them down by not being as decadent as possible.

xoxoxoBruce 05-23-2003 03:40 PM

I'm doing my share!;)

BrianR 05-24-2003 03:48 PM

You saw that at Fuddrucker's, didn't you?

Gave me a start, I can tell you. But one day I'll bring an appetite and have one just for the novelty of it.

YUM!

Brian

wolf 05-24-2003 06:15 PM

That will of course have to wait until there is a Fuddruckers up here ... your state still appears to have issues with people who support the 2nd Amendmet. ;)

Griff 05-24-2003 06:50 PM

Glad to see you Chris, for some reason it helps the conversation to have a face, even a hard one, in mind.

Anybody know when Manchesters MLS tour is happening?

There was a bbq place up in Ithaca that had like a 40 oz steak. If you could eat it with the sides you ate for free. Two guys were on the wall of shame there for doing it.
