my first post here. just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. i stumbled across this place off of a fark link and have been enjoying the conversations for a while now, and thought i'd join up. looking forward to meeting all of you.

Ah ... I remember the dial-up BBS days. I forget how I ever got involved with those things ... but I did ... and now here I am.

When he's ready, we should use the Cellar as a tool/weapon for getting Sheppsie a date. We could get three or four to compete for the chance, then us Dwellars could choose which lady gets the dream date.

Jim, Sheppsie is another alias of the infamous Undertoad.

"Sheppsie" made its debut on the Cellar in February, after I started using it in our personal conversations a few months previous. For some reason, I felt that UT needed a hockey-sounding nickname, and so..."Sheppsie."

Ummmm whatever syc, I don't know from hockey, so if you say it's a hockey-sounding name I'll take your word for it.

But, my first reaction was, it sounds like the name of my great-aunt's pekingese.

Still, it's a good idea.. interviewing the candidates would be amusing for everyone. (Does Phoenixville have public access cable??? :angel: )

Growing up as a Blues fan, damned near every player seemed to have a nickname that had a long "e" sound at the end of it...though some of them sounded rather ridiculous.

Given that this is Fly-Boys country, the trend may be more on the order of prefixing things with "Lind" ... thus "Lindshepps".

first chance to post again. thanks everybody for the welcome. well, i can thank the evil gods of warcraft 3 for another evening lost last night. the woman went out to the opera last night and i had lofty visions using the time to myself to see a film at the film festival up the street or go to the coffee shop and do some reading. what do i end up doing? at least i took some time at the end of the evening to rent some old school sci fi. anyone here ever see the movie zardoz? haven't finished it yet......all i have to say is sean connery with shotgun shell bandoliers......interesting.
