Nice Luger. You guys look like escapees from a Quentin Tarrantino film...
|
Well obviously this is the problem with arming pilots. Before they only thought they were God and now they have the power to take life. I hope you're happy.
:D |
Pilots have always had the ability to take lives. It's just that now they can do it with minimal risk to their own ...
|
Bwahahahahahaha. Right on, Wolf.:D

I was nowhere near Dallas on November 22, 1963
6th floor:

Nice pics guys. NBN, you look so MFing sinister with that Luger, I'll have nightmares for a week.
The "sixth floor" alteration is also very good. Maybe sometime over the Stressmass break, I'll open the fort Slang armory and snap some pics myself. This looks like a good thread to post em. |
I like the last photo, with that very same featured cap.
:) |
hehehe! this just proves what two bored individuals can come up with!:D  hey slang, how do you think i felt!! i couldn't sleep all night!! he was begging me to sell him that luger! (p.s. there are some good pics of it in bruces dodads thread towards the end, here)
els, i'd be scared to carry a gun in the plane! i'd probably shoot out the window or something:cool: |

Sometimes you want a "little" insurance, for those late night trips to the 7/11. I call this my "attention getter". It's much louder than you might think because of the barrel length and it being a revolver.
Sure, it's not an action movie bad ass gun, but I like the size. |

I know, it looks like a toy but trust me, you don't want to take even a 22 up close.

Here's the business end of "ol reliable", the 1911. This is my pre-Glock carry pistol.

This was just recently left to me. It's an old Iver Johnson 32 short revolver that gran pappy slang carried in the day. If you remember the original Superman TV series, a very similar pistol is fired in the intro.
Ammo for this is ungodly expensive so I dont fire it but its in good working order. |

It uses the gate style loading mechanism

And, its pretty small.
|
A Chinese, double barreled, side by side, smoothbore. Both barrels "fire" at the same time. :p
|
Now how the hell am I supposed to compete with that?!
|
Seems obvious: you fight fire with fire.
|
( ashamed I didnt see that coming )

Ok, well here's another piece. It's the only Smith and Wesson I own ( until they get their heads out ). This is a 5 shot 357 revolver, stainless. A nice pocket gun because of the lack of an external hammer, nothing to get snagged on.
|
Hell, I didn't even know it was a competition.

This bastard kicks like a mule even with magnaporting because of the small grip, powerful cartridge, and short barrel. And if you're shooting in low light, forget it. The flash will blind everyone in the direct vicinity, so shoot it from inside your pocket or prepare to beat a badguy with it after it blinds him ( might be a good idea to close your eyes as you pull the trigger in low light too )
|

And this is the view from the back showing no external hammer.
Everything gun related is competition but please do not post a pic of your "big gun". This is a family forum. :D |

out of curiosity, has anyone ever fired one of smith & wesson's feather weight .357 or .44's?? i've looked at them at the gun shows and just can't bring myself to buy something that seems as if it would snap my wrist like a tooth pick......
|
My friend's wife carries a featherweight taurus 357. I think it might be titanium or some variant alloy and she loves it. Debbie is pretty sturdy though, might hurt wimps like us.

I just found this quote over at Fark. I think it's great.
"The sickness of the twentieth century has been cowardice -- the cowardice of millions allowing themselves to be liquidated by Communists and Nazis without hitting back. If every victim had done all he could to take one murderer with him, history might have been different. Anger is the only cure for cowardice--anger strong enough to overcome fear. Right now people are afraid to get angry." |
[sarcasm] It seems logical that a drunken sex maniac from Texas would be capable of deciphering something rational from that obviously absurd statement.[/sarcasm]
|
:) when you say that!
Contrary to popular belief, there are occasions when I do shoot something besides my wad. |
From the sixth floor? :)
|
No, to the sixth ceiling, chump.
|
( hesitantly impressed )
|
slang, i think i just might have to try a featherweight out now:)
damn, i'm down and out for a few days and NBN has turned into a "drunken sex maniac?!?!? [sarcasm] what the hell is wrong with this world??!! |

OK it's not mine... But it's a real good weapon. Had some nice shooting with it. Better than the 5.56 Nato FNC I have to use over here in Belgium

('t was in the desert of Morokko, near Ouarzazate, where they shot The Gladiator, Diamond of the Nile, Lawrence of Arabia (with Peter O'Toole) and I think also parts of Black Hawk Down) |
Ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky?!?!?!?
http://www.angelfire.com/rant/hotamishwomen/pics/44.jpg Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum. Yes that is a hollowpoint you see. Just took it out of the bedside table. http://www.angelfire.com/rant/hotami...ics/colts2.JPG Some of my pistols. From top to bottom. Colt SAA Nickle plated .38-40 Colt SAA Bisley (target model) .38-40 Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum with hand carved grips Colt SAA .38-40 The first two colts are pre-smokeless powder (around 1897 production dates) The last Colt just missed blackpowder shells by a few years. Maybe I'll put some more of my guns on here tommorow. |
Nice collection of originals JNG. Pre 98 is a good thing in a couple of ways, as you well know.
Now the next question is......which is more frightening, the 44 or you with the hat/mangy beard? :D |
sweet pistolas there JNG!
