what a wonderfull start to a long weekend
ok, last night at my local watering hole and my truck gets broken into. screwdriver, under the door latch. they only took my radar detector, not my tools, but a 10 year old +- radar detector. then i go home, argue with my ex-wife and wake up to 6 cops IN MY BEDROOM!!!!!!!! the wench let them in the house!! she thought i had a girl over! WTfreakin'F!!!! hope y'alls weekend is going better.
edit:no, she doesn't live with me and i didn't know she still had a key. she told the cops on 911 that i was going to commit suicide just so she could find out if i had my girlfriend over. is that some low down shit or what?!? |
Man, that sucks. I'm sorry for you. You could easily press charges for harassment and making a false police call. Also, probably wanna change those locks now. ;)

Chicks.

they send 6 cops to your place if they think you;re suicidal? 6? did she tell them you were planning to use a war head to off yourself? c'mon. what did she really tell them? ok. your gun is missing. how long has it been missing? was it in the truck? the next time you see her? she has your kid? you pick NOW to quit smoking? gah! |
I guess this means you'll be bumming a lot more smokes from me.
Man, I didn't know about the truck. That's fucked up. You're a nice guy and everything, but I wouldn't let that shit slide. |
Press charges across the board.
Harrassment, false charges (if she actually filed any), missing property, the whole nine yards. You could also sue her for mental cruelty. |
I quit a 30-year nicotine habit two years ago after several aborted attempts.
For inspiration, I would think that handsome young man in your other pic is probably all you need. For support, we will be here. I will tell you this much before you start. Load up on bottled water (nicotine is water soluble and the water will help wash it out) and flu medication (helps with the symptoms for the first 72 hours). |

But, thank God, I made it - that was 2 years ago and I have never felt better. I had no idea what a crutch tobacco had become till I stood up on my own for the first time since I was 13. Hopefully, I'll live long enough to see my kids graduate and get married and maybe even see a grandkid or two. I could pretty much kiss all that goodbye had I not stopped. |
Can't she be charged with something???
|
Sure he could raise all kinds of hell, but she still has him by the balls. Because she has custody of the kid, she has the ultimate weapon.:(
|
Wouldn't abusing 911 to get at her ex be a damn good reson why she shouldn't have custody? The woman clearly has some serious issues.
|
Actually, making false reports to police is a crime most everywhere and he doesn't have to press charges for the DA to file them. There's the cost of those six policemen, 911 operator and the medical personnel who were mobilised to deal with a potential suicide. It's likely that the DA will not be amused at the false alarm and will take her to court for at least recovery of the costs.
Check local laws for more details. Brian |
Most judges won't award custody to a man who has a serious gun fetish and is considering suicide.
I know he wasn't, but they don't. And as far as pressing charges, it's he said/she said. SHe says he's considering suicide, He says he wasn't. You gonna believe the guy with all the guns in the house or the distraught mother that still has the key to the house? She really does have him by the balls. (Sorry, man.) Sell one of the guns and get new locks. Take the high road. Your kid will thank you later. Good luck on the smoking thing. |
it's not worth it to me to worry about. all it would do is cause more problems than it's worth and i don't feel like doing any of that. she really is a good mother to my son, and that's important enough to me.

very true bruce. but it goes both ways too. we had an argument. things got said and done. i've slept since then and i'm pretty much over it. sure i'm still a little peeved and will be for a while, but hey, that wasn't the first argument and it won't be the last. we have to deal w/each other because of my boy, so why muss it all up with constant arguing? we do normally get along great so i'm not going to sweat it.

Be very careful in the interactions with a vindictive exwife ... she files a PFA, you lose ALL the guns, whether the allegations are founded or not.
Even in Texas. |
pardon my ignorance, but what is a PFA?
|
Protection From Abuse order, sometimes called a "restraining order."
The allegations do not have to be true. She just has to file it and you are screwed. Now she can add "the police had to go to his house because he was suicidal" to her complaint. |
As plthijinx's friend and neighbor, I'm sure safe custody of his collection can be arranged.
BTW, the missing weapon is mine. Ironically, I had left it over there for safekeeping as I am having some work done at my house and I didn't want it 'walking away'. Whodathunk it would be a theiving cop. Bastards. I'm tempted to call Internal Affairs. |

|
Wow. All the guns? Damn.
|
Wolf, you are a very smart woman. But enough with the guns. That should not be a way anyone defines their life. And you do.

Busted. Yes I was,Jim. Sorry folks,I shouldn't do that. Sometimes I'm not too lucid. And the cross stitching was an interesting link. That is surely a different side of wolf. Syc-let's not debate guns. Anyone can define themselves any damn way they want.I should not have typed that sentence.

In vino veritas, right?
If it's an issue you feel strongly about, go ahead and start a thread. |
Well, farfromhome, you kinda shot yourself in the foot there, dincha? ..snark..
|
I sure did snarker. And wolf...I would start a thread as you suggest, but I think I might be outgunned.Har,har,har.
