Is that a tac light below and a laser sight above?

Gotta love the drum magazine ...

slang 08-12-2004 03:16 AM

Yeah, the light is too bulky for the top, but if a dept want them like that, Rich will set them up that way.

He sold a bunch (purposely vague) of these over the last year or so. Ridge put money in the budget for ant-terrorist rifles.

No matter where you put this guy Ridge, he does us gunners right

I thought it was funny that I couldn't put a drum on my SKS but I could on the 90 (hunter, civilian version of the SKS). Pre-ban, of course. ;)

You already knew that though. :)

Popping my 100-yard cherry

All this gun talk made my trigger finger itchy, and when plt's roommate came over today and said let's hit the range, I was only too happy to oblige.

We did the S&W 9mm pistol first, not bad. Then I took the Mini-14 to the 50 yd range. Shooting with only the stock peep sights, I've put less than 400 rounds through this rifle at this distance with OK results, and today was no different.

Bryan said let's hit the 100. I have never shot there before but what the hell. I loaded up the box with 24 rounds and had at it. I don't think this is so much a function of my own accuracy as that of this marvelous weapon. Anyway I think I'm finding my range:

xoxoxoBruce 08-14-2004 11:26 PM

You could save money by making the targets last longer. All you have to do is put all the bullets through the same hole. :haha:
Good job, NBN.

zippyt 08-15-2004 05:59 PM

Please tell me that spray pattern was off hand and not from a bench rest !!!!

Nothing But Net 08-15-2004 06:12 PM

I do rest the barrel on sandbags. At this range, the entire circular area of the target is less than half the diameter of what is seen inside the peephole.

zippyt 08-15-2004 06:39 PM

oh well not to bad for a civilian i guess

xoxoxoBruce 08-15-2004 08:08 PM

Ignore these clowns, NBN. Their jealous of your harem(s) and musical prowess by cracking on your marksmanship. It looks to me like that pattern is less than half a chest width which is more than good enough.

Now, about that chick you could introduce me to......... :haha:

xoxoxoBruce 08-18-2004 10:18 PM

Slang was such a lovely child.
