Whore College

From here .

San Francisco Woman Offers Red Light Education
SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) – The world’s oldest profession is now being taught in the world’s newest school.
On May 4, the Epicenter Gallery in San Francisco will become the site of the world’s first “Whore College,” to teach wannabe working girls and guys the ins and outs of prostitution.

The kinky college is the brainchild of prostitute and sex activist Carol Leigh and will offer classes in titillating topics like “Beauty Standards and Sex Work,” “Do-It- Yourself Web Cam” and “Safer Oral Sex Techniques.”

.....

Students can qualify for scholarships and will have a chance to earn a degree but don’t need to worry about passing tests because Leigh admits she’s “too liberal” to make the pupils pass a final.
......
Somehow, I don't think they will sell many "My son/daughter is an honor student" stickers.

The "oral exam" joke is a little too obvious, don't even try it.

Bullitt 05-17-2005 02:04 AM

what about take your daughter to work day? *shudders*

LCanal 05-17-2005 04:58 AM

Strange we have all these hang up about sex. Why shouldn't it be taught? Ok it's more exciting as a teenager to learn with your first love or lust but really it is an important life skill. I'm not claiming the high ground there. Sort of like wiping one's a**. Your mom/mum used to do it for you until she suggested you do it for yourself but she never actually showed you how to do it.
There are rumours here in Indonesia that mothers on the island of Madura teach their duagthers how to please men. (Maybe the fathers do the same with son's but haven't heard.) How many have been to Tantric classes?
Of course the classes maybe more about the mind games than the actual techniques. What we need is a mole on the inside.

jaguar 05-17-2005 05:16 AM

I agree entirely but this isn't sex school, this is whore school, there is a difference.

jaguar 05-17-2005 05:31 AM

Now I consider this at greater length than it really deserves - if everyone went to sex school everyone would know the same stuff, this leads to a conundrum, while it'd be wonderful for such important gems as teeth are bad to be instilled from a young age it'd take half the excitement out of it if everyone had the same knowledge base.

LCanal 05-17-2005 05:41 AM

OK point taken.

All the same ? nah. I prefer to every now and then to think WOW now that was good.

But I still think as a species we have too many hang ups about the S word.

jaguar 05-17-2005 05:42 AM

ya I agree on both.

Disagree. A lot of people know a lot of things but only a minute handful can apply it. Nothing to fear about instilling basic techniques - especially as every person I've slept with likes different things (not that different, it's a fine line) - and it's what you do on the day that counts, and not many people have that ability: to know what to do at the time.

jaguar 05-17-2005 07:03 AM

You're right, if I hear one more 'he seems to think my clit is X' or variations thereof from female friends I might scream but would it help that? Where do you draw the line on basic techniques, Fellatio 101 or Things Not To Try When Having Sex In a Phonebooth (20 credits)? I assume we're talking about theoretical lessons here rather than pratical ones. Pratical ones might but that would raise all sorts of.....interesting issues.

Catwoman 05-17-2005 07:49 AM

Ok - basic lessons might include:

(for men)
- where it goes
- where it definitely doesn't go
- appreciation of female time-scales (21 minutes longer than you think)
- you are not kneading dough
- the power of anticipation

(and for women)
- not all men like their nipples tweaked
- you are not sanding a cue
- stop being ashamed and let him see your arse in the air

Beyond this, it's a matter of personal chemistry.

But I don't see the harm in practical lessons. It's all in the teaching...

SteveDallas 05-17-2005 08:11 AM

This would go right along with the course somebody in NYC was offering in adult film production. The syllabus included a live in-class taping of a scene with two ladies. Regrettably, I don't have the link anywhere. (It must have been on fark or collegehumor or some place like that.)

jaguar 05-17-2005 08:32 AM

ok that list had me laughing pretty hard.

Right. A sex school would be more in the liberal arts tradition, this is a professional college instead, like a cosmetology school or mechanic's school.

So I guess this woman would probably have flunked.
Quote:

BOSTON - A woman isn't legally responsible for injuries her boyfriend suffered while they were having consensual sex more than a decade ago, a state appeals court ruled Monday.

The man, identified only as John Doe in court papers, filed suit against the woman in 1997, claiming she was negligent when she suddenly changed positions, landed awkwardly on him and fractured his penis.

The man underwent emergency surgery in September 1994, "endured a painful and lengthy recovery" and has suffered from sexual dysfunction that hasn't responded to medication or counseling, the appeals court said.

wolf 05-17-2005 10:22 PM

Interesting. It hadn't occured to me that you could break a boner.

lumberjim 05-18-2005 12:11 AM

hey, anyone wanna start a thread about preferred sexual techniques. we could offer pointers to the opposite sex in a very grown up and responsible manner, thereby improving our performance with our own partners. we could be each others' dr ruths.

i promise not to just yell 'cock' the whole time

LCanal 05-18-2005 01:37 AM

One thing I fantasized about during once was to have a brain transference gizmo that one could wear during sex whereby one could exchange the thoughts and feelings of one's partner. Sort of like bio feedback. One day but not yet....
Still saving for Sybian. Well not actually saving but waiting to go somewhere "accessible" so I can hand carry it back to Asia. "Would you like to see my Sybian?"

breakingnews 05-18-2005 07:39 AM

If your partner screams loud enough in your ear, you might be able to get a sense of what he/she is feeling.

No weird gadgetry involved. (That reminded of the Sandra Bullock/Sly Stallone "sex" scene from the beginning of Demolitian Man.)

Peter F Hamilton had a book along those lines but with broader interests than sex.

Ahh yes, the peak of Sandra's career. It's been all downhill ever since.

Think "blowout" (no pun intended) in the sidewall of a car's tire. Both materials are naturally soft and flexible, but held rigid by pneumatic pressure. Should the envelope fail, the rigidity will too.

jaguar 05-18-2005 10:59 AM

Guy I know claimed this happened (not sure why you'd lie about it), she was on top, went a big high, came down wrong and crunch. Led to massive bruising and no sex for 3 months. Must be interesting turning up at the emergency.....'she broke my dick!' 'i thought it was longer!'

cowhead 05-18-2005 11:05 AM

I remember hearing about that guy..

as to a whore college... ya know I have mixed feelings on the matter, I think that unionized, legal, regulated and professional prostitution wouldn't really be a bad thing. just think of all the people out there who are just going mad for lack of sex (or atleast some sort of physical contact.. which our society doesn't really promote such things.. openly atleast). and for another reason.. now.. remember the first time you had sex.. most people just kind of fumbled thru it, and THOSE are the lessons they remember from the get go as it were, the habits they maintain thru-out their entire sex lives (unless they find someone willing to re-educate them.. I got lucky that way) so! if your first time could be with someone who could 'do it right' then I think a persons adult sex life would be a more fulfulling experience.

(also might cut down on the whole 'pimping' thing.. those teamsters are kinda nasty.. or so I hear)

(oh! and hella taxed! think cigarette and booze tax raises alot of revenue! this is a freaking biological function!.. it's kinda be like taxing people for using the crapper)

Trilby 05-18-2005 03:52 PM

I don't think I ever fumbled through it---Hmmmmm......nope. Never did. However, with age comes increasing grace (and horniness) so thank God for NBN and xobruce.

kerosene 05-18-2005 04:12 PM

I don't think I have "fumbled" either. I think we girls have it a little easier than the guys. There is so much societal pressure all about how a man "performs" where, not much is expected of gals and their skills. Now, physical appearance is where we recieve the most pressure (no pun intended, there.) I can't wait to see what happens when we open that can o' worms. :thepain: That may all just be cliche diatribe, based on a disenchantment with American society, but I'll bet some people might agree with me.

cowhead 05-19-2005 01:36 PM

heh.. I agree. and in my opinion it's not soley restriceted to females..the standards of beauty that is, sure.. there's more of it or it's more intense, but as I've seen it's universally applied. that's why I had to develope a personality and a bit of charm (not that it usually pans out in the written word.. damnit!)

and about the fumbling I was more meaning the first few times...:)

xoxoxoBruce 05-21-2005 06:55 PM

Why does everyone use whore and prostitute interchangeably? :eyebrow:

Clodfobble 05-22-2005 01:17 PM

...how are they different?

xoxoxoBruce 05-22-2005 01:37 PM

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ;)

Clodfobble 05-22-2005 01:39 PM

You mean one is more expensive? Sorry, I'm feeling pretty dense today...

wolf 05-22-2005 01:42 PM

I think the difference is in attitude, not just income.

You can be a whore without getting paid.

xoxoxoBruce 05-22-2005 02:12 PM

That's my point, whores don't get paid other than a meal, movie or bauble.
Prostitutes get cash...and an occasional chicken. :)

wolf 05-22-2005 04:15 PM

whores get paid cash sometimes, too ... but they are typically the bottom of the sex trade barrel. (I also agree with your definition, I'm just expanding it)

Prostitutes in Norristown get $20 for a blow job. The whores get $5, and your $20 will take you around the world — But you better hope you got good medical insurance and aren't allergic to pennicillin.

Sun_Sparkz 05-22-2005 06:05 PM

I think the college is a good idea personally, i mean if they are teaching the people practical things like money management, how to protect themselves (sexually and physically), safety issues, business development, how to handle difficult clients, and instilling responsibility in regard to things like contraceptives, privacy and hygene.

I mean if they are going to work in the sex trade anyway, they may as well know about these things rather than not.

cowhead 05-22-2005 06:15 PM

whore can denote a number of things, from 'loose morality', to being available for multipe sexual encounters, some sense of need or longing, to a number of mental/emotional issues that one tries to resolve with sex (ie. low self esteem, finding validation in physical contact/ the mis-association of the whole sex=love thing) etc.

a prostitute.. does it for the money (as well perhaps as some of the above mentioned causes)

trust me on this one, sorry if I can't explain it well.. I'll post a thread as to why here in a bit.. and also having done some whoring myself.. (a little trickier when you are male :) )

xoxoxoBruce 05-22-2005 09:19 PM

Sure cowhead, whore applies in many different ways to everyone from me to thee.
Here we were aplying it to the traditional version. ;)

cowhead 05-23-2005 08:44 AM

okie dokie, yeah my browser has been having troubles.. or I have been.. responding before the page is loaded correctly.. oops.. and I always feel like an ass when I read something that I ought to have after.. way after I have made an ass of myself by posting.. like I said oops..

personally. without the whole 'whore' personality.. I would have had a much much less interesting life :) ... not me of course!

cowhead 05-23-2005 08:47 AM

and I do agree with sun sparkz... from a business angle

xoxoxoBruce 05-25-2005 01:16 AM

Naw man, you were dead on. Whore covers a lot of ground these days. :thumb:

Sun_Sparkz is talking like some kind of foreigner, maybe from some place as foreign as Australia fo gosh sakes. ;)
How are we going to keep the country sexually repressed with that kind on nonsense going on. Next thing you know they'll be talking openly about trying to prevent STDs, which everyone knows is God's own punishment for enjoying sex.......or is that children?

cowhead 05-25-2005 02:08 AM

no the only way is to abstain! .. uh fuck that.. sorry I like sex too much! and fer fucks sake should I bear (sp?) offspring ever... they will be taught (not like that!) about good sex! and what sex is meant to do... both recrational and procreational! (uh dummy if you want to just have fun and so does she.. wear a condom!)
