6/29/2005: Streaker

http://cellar.org/2005/streaker4eq.jpg

IotD doesn't usually "do" streakers (although it is another form of naked protest, I guess). But I saved this one off for some reason. Maybe it was the fact that he's on a wireless phone. Maybe it's the fact that he's about to get the tackling of his very life, and the photographer saved this particular instant in time.. and somehow managed to get an angle that didn't show the guy's package. Maybe it's all that AND the grimace on the other guy's face.

But today the WaPo gives us the next frame.

maybe it is the fact that he wears green socks.

and that he looks like the sculpture of a greek god - without the green socks and without his mobile, that greek gods usually donīt have. i guess

THAT'S CLIPPING NOW DAMMIT!
This guy must be one of the more intelligent streakers. He's calling his attorney and the bail/bondsman in advance.
What a helluva price to pay for attention. :mg:

mrnoodle 06-29-2005 10:37 AM

Heh. The phone's halfway up his head in the second shot. And I'm not at all sure that every flesh-colored digit in front of him is a finger. Tackling streakers is like steer wrestling -- grab and twist.

Don't look, Ethel!

Gromitspapa 06-29-2005 11:11 AM

I'm a little concerned with that "grimace" on the other guy's face...

wolf 06-29-2005 11:12 AM

Can you hear me now?

True. To me, it doesn't look like a grimace but more like: "heh...heh....yaaah...heh...heh...heh." *heavy breathing sounds*

lmao.

I think the guy with the mustache is a little "too into it", in a I'm not gay sort of way.

wolf 06-29-2005 02:28 PM

Being as I'm paid sometimes to chase and tie down naked people, there is greater concern on the part of those doing the taking down that naked guy will choose to fight back with body fluids rather than a hesitation to have a close encounter with Mr. Happy.

What was it Patton or McArthur or somebody used to say? Get them by the balls and their hearts and minds will follow.

We did have one nut that made a point of greasing herself up with moisturizing lotion before she (intentionally) went off/had a tantrum. It was rather like trying to catch a greased pig and she would slip right out of the leathers. After about the third time staff started to remember to bring a towel in to soak up some of the ooze.

:lol2: ok wolf, we definitely need some more of your work stories.

I think you're right, they ARE wearing cleats....Damn.

I think they're all fingers showing as the situation calls for shrinkage in self defense. :mg:

I remember one girl we had on the closed female ward that had multiple, vigorous orgasms when we strapped her down.

She acted out a lot.

To say the least.

wolf 06-30-2005 02:10 AM

I see you are acquainted with my secretary.

Troubleshooter 06-30-2005 08:23 AM

It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't taken five people to do it.

Elspode 06-30-2005 01:38 PM

Could someone please 'shop a cell phone into his missing hand?

Troubleshooter 06-30-2005 01:43 PM

Don't.

That would be to Speilbergian for me.

she has been slaying me too! I mean, she's always funny, but the wryness seems to be at an all time high.....or would that be low?

Trilby 06-30-2005 01:47 PM

Wolf is minty fresh from Forks!! :)
Plus, she probably either 1) got a new gun, or 2) won another "who's the perp?" pool at work.
