George Washington And Abraham Lincoln Forgotten During Febuary
Im not sure why we forgot two of the greatest men in United States History, especially during Febuary.
George Washington February 22, 1732 Abraham Lincoln February 12, 1809 |
Eh...they're old and dead. The past is out...it's all about the future.
|
When I was a kid we actually celebrated their birthdays.
|
Yeah, what the hell did those two dead white men ever do for us?

Don't you have President's Day? |
Yeah, I was pretty happy when Mr. Clod unexpectedly had Presidents' Day off from work. The kids didn't get the day off from school though, which I thought was a little unusual.
|
We don't close for Pres day, though I think most of the other public employees close. I think we traded MLK and/or Veteran's Day, because we get both of those off.
|
I celebrate both birthdays in my own way. On G. Washington's B'day, I stop smiling and look grim and dispeptic all day.
On Lincoln's b'day, I go to the theatre and I shoot myself in the head. Been doing it for years. :) |

I see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.
