I think I saw the trailer on tv - can't think where else I would have seen it as I haven't been to the cinema in months. Yay Antipodean horror!

DanaC 10-06-2007 05:45 AM

I saw it the ad for it on tv yesterday, that's why I went looking for it

DanaC 10-06-2007 05:46 AM

Anybody ever seen the film Bodymelt? Now that was classic antipodean horror, of the very best quality *grins*

apropos of nothing (except that the title of this thread reminded me of this), check out the sheep vs. gravity screen saver. No sheep were harmed in the creation of this software.

Don't you mean Kiwi movies?

freshnesschronic 10-08-2007 02:17 PM

I bet this won't be as good as the original Black Sheep.

If you get the chance, rent Isolation. It's an Irish horror film about cows. It's tense, atmospheric and jumpy.

Okay HM worked on it, but it really is worth watching - a million miles from Hollywood (like Creep) low budget, few effects (and no CGI) and a great feel for the decaying agricultural landscape.

Sadly it went straight to DVD, but that doesn't reflect the fact the quality, it's better than many films I've paid for at the cinema. And it's going well on download on Sky.

Go on, give the British/ Irish film industry a boost, rent it.
