If you've ever seen pictures or video of the Isle of Man TT Races you know how tough it is with narrow streets, tight turns, and bumps that become launch ramps at speed. That's why this made my jaw drop...

Griff 06-13-2018 05:51 AM

That right there, that's racing.

Gravdigr 06-13-2018 02:51 PM

How did that bike haul those yuuuge fucking balls around the IoM???

135 and change?!?! Lap average? Damn.

37.75 miles...in a little over 16.5 minutes. On the deadliest race course in the world.

The world's first 3D-printed motorcycle.

Quote:

AP Works, a German Airbus subsidiary, has come out with the first 3D-printed, small, electric motorcycle. The name of the model is the Light Rider. The hollow exoskeleton frame is based on natural structures and growth patterns. The frame is made Scalmalloy, which is a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy and is touted as stronger than titanium. These two items make the frame very light at around 13 pounds. The motorcycle’s total weight is 77 pounds.AP Works used a six kilowatt electric motor. With the motorcycle being so light, this engine enables the motorcycle to run at a top speed of 50 mph.

Diaphone Jim 06-19-2018 05:19 PM

That's easy, he just doesn't let his front tire hit the ground.

captainhook455 06-21-2018 05:21 PM

What no Harley's?

fargon 06-21-2018 07:57 PM

Here is an electric Harley Davidson.

That explains how he has four of them, and they're all running at the same time.

Watching or re-watching "The World's Fastest Indian" is highly recommended.

Double v-twin...

Gravdigr 06-29-2018 01:24 PM

Lot of genuine skill, enginuity, and creativity...But, ultimately useless.

The purple and gold works, though.

Enginutiy - didja see what I did there?

Quadruple your turning radius.

Griff 06-30-2018 04:13 PM

I watched a guy low speed dump a cruiser yesterday. He went into an awkward intersection turning left uphill when an ambulance passed everybody in the uphill line taking away his lane. He went down and the ambulance went on its merry way. He looked okay but fucking shook up, stalling the bike twice before rolling it up on the sidewalk to think about life for a while.

xoxoxoBruce 07-02-2018 10:01 PM

I think qualifies as a motorcycle.

captainhook455 07-12-2018 07:33 AM

Cool video, but most won't like it cuz no more wheelies for sure.

Gravdigr 07-12-2018 03:37 PM

What?! It's wheelies all the way down!

It's a constant wheelie.

Diaphone Jim 07-12-2018 04:20 PM

I think that is very well done whatever it is, but it must cost more for shoes than gas.

captainhook455 07-20-2018 05:11 PM

This has been a good thread I have enjoyed it. Thanks.

Had a semi-chopped 73 Honda 750 4 w/apehangers and extended forks. It would stand straight up in third gear.

It was like riding an wild, un-broken stallion. You had to work at staying on it, all the time.

As it turned out, my neighbor had built the bike and engine from the ground up years before when he did that sort of thing. It still had the paint job he put on it, and that's how he recognized the bike. He said he had had reservations about the bike, when the guy came to pick it up, it was so wild. He dug his shit out and helped me sync the carbs and tune it up real good.

This was before he turned into a cat stealing, scumbag sumbitch.

Here's some posers going to Myrtle Beach from Virginia. I thought here are some real hoods if there ever was , but one is a dentist and the other a school principal.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b47a4cdb6c.jpg

We just started with this outfit. Better service cheaper price. Modern trucks with an arm in the front to pick up cans. The trucks don't leave a spot of hydraulic fluid everywhere they stop. Yup much better.

Griff 07-29-2018 05:29 PM

Waste Management, national mob controlled trash service...

Gravdigr 07-31-2018 05:51 PM

Not bad.

I kinda like that fatter tire look. And the fake carb.

Undertoad 07-31-2018 06:28 PM

none more black

captainhook455 07-31-2018 07:45 PM

It looks fun to ride, but dosen't have a spot for a rainsuit. Honestly you would think all bikes would have a driveshaft by now.

Diaphone Jim 07-31-2018 07:53 PM

Kind of looks like my BSA Gold Star, but over twice the engine.

is a fake carb like fake news?

A biker was going out with an accountants wife on the sly, but were soon found out. After the divorce the accountant saw the biker at a store. He said, how do you like that used pussy? Whereupon the biker said its not to bad once I get past the used part.

As Richard Pryor said, the reason people do drugs is because they make too much money. The same could be applied here.

Diaphone Jim 08-03-2018 11:45 AM

I have been hoping somebody would explain "fake carb."

Evidently you don't know his story.

Fake carb? It's a fuel injected Chevy 350, and hanging off the front is the fuel pump, maybe oil pump, and a mounting plate for the starter.

glatt 08-03-2018 01:07 PM

I think the "fake carb" is on the Triumph in post 39. It's a fuel injected system, therefore fake carb.

The Triumph (and almost all bikes) are fuel injected, but some of them use a throttle body disguised as an old style carburetor. It's a neat retro touch.

xoxoxoBruce 08-03-2018 06:51 PM

Right digr, called the "carb-styled twin throttle bodies" by Triumph.
