Fave Easter/Vernal Equinox Candy?

I am totally addicted to the Reece's Pieces Eggs. They are like big Reece's pieces.

I will not eat chocolate bunnies - I think it's wrong.

For me it would be a tossup between jelly beans (with Jelly Bellies my favorite) and the Cadbury Creme Eggs.

I must say, even though you didn't ask, that peeps are the work of the devil.

--Cadbury creme or caramel eggs
--Marshmallow peeps...blue, preferably
--Pastel-colored almond M&Ms

Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.

Can't have (regular) chocolate. Can't have nuts. The combination really limits my candy variety.

Yeah, I know. Woe is me.

They only made it for two seasons, but I really liked the white Nestle crunch eggs.

I find the Cadbury Mini Eggs addicting.

Have you ever roasted a Peep? OMG. So awesome.

I also love Starburst jelly beans.

glatt 04-07-2006 12:09 PM

I love how the sugar coating on the outside of the peep gets all carmelized and kinda crunchy. Then the marshmallow middle gets all soft like in a S'more.

Yum.

Roasted a peep???
Just put them in the microwave... the GROW to MUCHA LUCHA GIGANTE proportions - my kids taught me this...

ahhh carmel filled cadbury eggs, they rock.
and starburst jellybeans... Chainsaw we are kindred spirits!

I like the traditional chocolate bunny. My older son (Taylor, 16) is kind of different. He's a republican and a christian. A couple years ago I asked him if he still wanted a chocolate bunny for easter. He told me that bunnies were pagan and he worshipped Jesus. So. I asked him if he wanted a chocolate Jesus. I couldn't find any, but I did manage to get him a caramel cross.

buttercream eggs. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Jolly Rancher or Smuckers Jelly Beans (I think the flavors are better than the Starburst ones)

Dark Chocolate Bunny (eaten headfirst. Solid is better than hollow.)

Dove Chocolate Truffle Egg (I was disappointed by the design change last year. They are now half-egg shaped rather than egg shaped. I feel cheated).

Cadbury Creme Egg (I remain fascinated by the notion of the "yolk".)

Once again, I got my candy too early and it's getting all eaten.

By me.

I just discovered baby-sized Cadbury Creme Eggs! They're the perfect size to pop in your mouth (though I still bite them in half to make sure the yolk is there).

Oh, and I HATE fake gummy bears.
