I've been watching Rake on NetFlix. A few episodes ago one of the characters described another as a manky so-and-so.

I'm not sure I've got the meaning 100%.





We could try the Candyman summons:

Manky = grubby, not pleasant, inferior.
Mancy = from Manchester.

the similarity is pure co-incidence, as Manky is a more appropriate description for scousers :p
