My name is Earl

So, is Earl going to hit any of you east-coasters? News brings reports of death and destruction, kind of like the "white death" reports when we get some snow.

I was being sarcastic about the news reports. I wondered if any of you in the path had concerns, or does the news tend to dramatize things to a point that we don't pay attention so much anymore? I've long since stopped hoping for a snow day when the local news says the White Death is coming (they don't really call it that but they might as well.)

It's still days away, it seems, and anything could happen, so I hope you all are safe in any turn of events.

We're going to get some rain out of it on Friday here in Philadelphia, but nothing more.

It's a wide path. It could nail virtually every city on the entire East Coast, or it could still go harmlessly out to sea.

They typically get pushed out to sea, but I'm going to the shore so it'll DEFINITELY hit - AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

It's supposed to hit the coast here. But since I moved here, I tend to find the forecasts that far ahead inaccurate. I keep an eye, but don't worry too much since I am in the middle of NC

The reports I saw this morning have it coming no closer the New Jersey coast than 220 miles. We're planning on being at the Delaware shore, unless the forecast is really bad. And even then, we might go and have a hurricaine partaaaay.

Still gonna get us on the coast. They were already evacuating an island on Tuesday. The outer banks is gonna take a hit from that and from losing all the Labor Day business.

Huge hurricane. I am hoping it weakens.

What it looks like from the space station.

Raleigh has gone the way of the milk/bread/toilet paper run - but I think we'll just get rain and some wind out of this one.

Bbro...I didn't realize you were in the Triangle...(did I?)

I think we talked about it like once.....a while ago.
