That seems like a lot of school for a city with a population of ~10,000.

Considering the kids will all be zooming their classes from their bedrooms it may be overkill.

i'm seeing that verona *does* have a new highschool that is being built/was built to open this week, but i'm not finding any of these photos or anything that looks as over-the-top as all this. where'd you find these?

Wikipedia shows the school has just under 1600 students.
That's a lotta lot of school.

I'd assume it's a regional school not just for Verona.
The photographs were taken by john Hart for the State Journal.

If I learned anything from 80s movies, these giant campuses can only lead to lead to alienation and punk rock.

Gosh, why didn't I think of that instead of going to all the trouble to bring it here. :smack:

also, the answer to the "why tf built a school that size for 1600 students" seems to be, per wikipedia:

Seems to me the enclosed Roman Colosseum, two pools, barbells and stationary bikes is an over reaction to a few athletes excelling in their chosen field.
That's fine except everyone pays no small price for it.
Goes along with the national preoccupation with anything to distract from doing something useful.
