I have seen this--it looks familiar. The crumbly edges, it reminds me of ... bark? I can't place it. Thanks for the clues, I will let this percolate a while... be back later after my epiphany.

Not bark, nor crumbly, but you are getting much closer. very close.

You're so negative. I think you need more "yes" in your life.

Tell us what the fuck it is already. I had the pic up as I was selling scrip this afternoon at school and no-one had a fucking clue. They were also rather perturbed that I spoke of people I'd never met as if they were close friends... but hey....

alright. It is a mineral deposit from millions of years of dissolved limestone dripping onto the floor of a cave. Hence "percolate for a while"

I did a shoot there a few years ago.

Dammit! I was totally going to guess a cave wall, but I had to read through 6 pages of thread to get to the end... and then you answered it. That's what I get for not keeping up with my new posts.

offs I really was going to post (after the clues) "underground river bed" which woulda been pretty close... and then I thought stalactites and stalagmites, but they're smooth.... but I thought f3 liveth not underground.....
