Holy fucking fuckety fuck!

I turned on international roaming on the kids phones while they're overseas with their father.

Somehow (fuck knows how) they've managed to run up a bill of over $5k between them!

I hope the phone company feels nice when I call them and try and get this bill minimised.

I suspect crying will help.

How much can you get for a kidney?

Aliantha 04-09-2013 11:56 PM

Not that much foot. :(

Sundae 04-10-2013 03:55 AM

Oh my word!
When I was in Sri Lanka I ran up a mobile bill that cost more than the actual trip.

Evil Ex wasn't an Ex at the time and he was in France and then England.
Of course our longest conversation was on Valentine's Day. Because his ex turned up unexpectedly the day before. And stayed the night. Live and learn, eh?

Good luck with trying to get a reduction Ali. Sounds like a huge worry.

Well, with two boys, you could be selling two kidneys. Just saying.

Global roaming fees are an acknowledged massive rip off. Check with the telecommunication industry ombudsman

Dad talks $22,000 cellphone roaming charge down to $200

even better:
Man published free how-to guide for others who feel mistreated by cellphone service providers

Quote:

The man who successfully fought $22,000 in cellphone roaming charges is back with a guide to help others do the same.

In a CBC Go Public exclusive earlier this month, Burnaby resident Matt Buie accused Rogers of price gouging after his son racked up $22,000 in data charges while on a family vacation in Mexico.

The company immediately offered to cut the charge to $2,200.

Buie says he cited the outcome of a CRTC hearing last month, in which telecom executives alluded to $200 being a fair cap on unexpected data charges should a cap be in place.

Buie's step-by-step guide to negotiation with telecom customer service can be found on the website OpenMedia.ca.
Or here...(I think) :) good grief Ali, I hope you can get this solved.
