I would also recommend a professional instructor who has access to a skidpad. Any weather will do. I learned a TON from my time on a skidpad.

If it were colder, I'd wear a neck warmer that I can pull over my lower face but it was around 30F yesterday. No lipshitz ™ but on a colder day at a bigger mountain with long runs it's a really good idea. We did get in 5+hours of skiing yesterday so I probably should have.
