NHL: Lord Stanley's Bubble
1 Attachment(s)
Unlike the other leagues the NHL has taken the bubble concept seriously. They have the advantage of location keeping it all in Canada and a mix of players from Canada, USA, and Europe which inoculates them against potentially deadly stupid political stances. Playoffs start today. If you're desperate for sport there should be like 12 hours of hockey today.
Pens at 8pm Eastern. As much as I like baseball, I'll be surprised if they play 10 more games. Let's Go Pens! |
More optimistic on baseball.
Think I'll watch the Giants today and skip all 12 hours of hockey. |
12 hours of hockey? They are doing this for your birthday aren't they? They love you man. :celebrat:

I'm waiting until 8, things to get done as death gets closer each day! ;)

I'm acutely aware. :yesnod:

New chore at the top of the list...

Oh you poor thing.

The only way for those cross-thingees to work is to have higher tension than my dough.

Good luck. I used this stuff for a recipe one time, back in the day on a dinner date. To characterize it as an epic fail would be a tragic understatement. The product of my efforts did indeed resemble dough which was cut into strips per the recipe, but it came out like... words fail me here. The flavor was OK, because the rest of the sauce and spices were ok, some kind of stew recipe. But the meat substitute was like trying to eat slices of a Vibram sole. Not an old boot, a brand new one constructed for maximum safety and penetration resistance. JFC, I don't think I was able to manage to chew one bite effectively. We wound up just eating around it, a meatless-free vegetarian stew. But your strips will remain intact, I guarantee it. |

He's just saying he's never personally been able to make it work, because his own dough breaks apart.

I can weave vinyl lawn chairs, not pastry dough.
Sure looks tasty. |
Gotcha.
Completely different topic, can you still get lawn chair material? I haven't seen one of those chairs out in the wild lately. |
By lately, do you mean the last 30 years?
|
I'm pretty sure there are a pair of them in a corner of Dad's porch, but I haven't seen any in the wild in... yeah, 30 years.
