Spiral stairs or ramp.

Inside of a slippery slide that runs spiraling down the outside of the tower?

I'm changing my answer. Looking at the picture again this morning, there's clearly no glass there. What I thought was the edge of glass is actually a bit of flashing wrapped around the beams.
This is a concrete post with staggered beams going off to the sides of it. We're looking up toward the sky through the beams. I figured it was some sort of ramp in a parking garage. Then I saw you had been to Sitka. So you must have gone to an airport. I looked for instances of Seattle airport parking garage ramps, and found somebody somewhere commenting on crazy ramps at SeaTac. So that's what this is. One of the spiral ramps at SeaTac airport in Seattle. |

Please accept my apologies for my tardiness and my congratulations to xoB for his winning answer. *Of course* Columbo, sorry, glatt, was right-er, but xoB was fast-er and right enough.
glatt, you frighten me. I'm sure you know aaaaaallll about me, and I'm happy you're keeping it all to yourself. You're scary good. So, how about another challenge? What is this? |
Vapor lock. You're brewing something.
|
Yes, you're right. It is a fermentation lock. I'm making a batch of mead. But that's another thread. *hic*
technically vapor lock is what happens when your fuel lines are filled with vapor rather than liquid fuel from being too hot. |
Mead, huh? I've never had mead. I assume you like it?
|
I've had mead, pagan brewed even, it's very good...
|
Probably not too hard...
