South Mountain - camped here. Talked about it over in the camp thread. It was right by the river there. I didn't do a lot of hiking. It took a while, but I skipped the waterfalls. I always pick the wrong trails. Overlooks mean NOTHING!

Good stuff! I love the tree towering up, with all its arms, and the way you cropped it off-center.

Thanks! From the New River batch? There were a lot of trees like that. I think it's why my mind when to an epic fantasy novel type book in my mind. Honestly, I really liked that park. I want to go back. Sadly, it's 3 hours away.

One of the things I love about walking through a forest like this is having a commentary going in my head. Like the narration of a fantasy novel. Like I'm on a big adventure and just entered into the dangerous woods that everyone is scared of because they're haunted. That's normal, right? RIGHT?!?!

Of course, with me the woods are a giant nudist colony with Brown Bears and Pumas. Got to be alert.
