Things not to like about dogs
They bite
They slobber They smell They eat poop They leave big piles of poop that someone has to pick up They chew up precious things They bite They are really, really noisy They slobber They are not cats Some of them look like rats Some of them look like wolves People talk to them in baby voices and tell them to go potty They slobber They smell ....feel free to join in any time....... :bolt: |
Their owners?

Them too. Especially the ones in denial about all of the above.
Did I mention the slobbering? Also They shed Their food smells They roll in decaying corpses and other unspeakable smelliness |
except for the eating poop part which I find revolting, your list applies to babies too. (and the wolf and rat thing, though I have seen my share of ugly babies)..
I still love dogs and I still love babies. sorry about ur doggie monster |
babies would eat poop too if they could get to it.
on the plus side for dogs they don't go out and get tattoos |

Dogs - a complete and utter waste of oxygen.
When I come to power private ownership of non-working dogs will be made illegal. I'm not completely heartless though - owners will be given a brief period, say four to six weeks, during which time they can sell or use their animals for food. |

She'll have to stand in line!
I told Pilau what y'all said and he's very hurt. |
Well that's not very dog-motherly is it? Isn't it your job to protect his feelings by keeping him sheltered from all the nasty? You could have let him carry on in all innocence (just so long as you restricted his cellar access).....
I see he hasn't posted here yet..... perhaps he has me on ignore? |
ooh look, that was my 20,000th post.
Typical of my bullshittin' on here  |
They bite Pico only lightly bites during play
They slobber Pico never slobbers They smell Pico doesn't, well...his breath did, but then we got the bad teeth pulled They eat poop Pico might, but I have never seen him do it They leave big piles of poop that someone has to pick up Pico's piles are so small they dry up really fast They chew up precious things Pico hasn't yet They bite See above They are really, really noisy This is Pico's only downside. He barks like a mad dog whenever (and whoever) someone comes to the door They slobber Pico never slobbers They are not cats Pico almost is, at least he cleans himself like one Some of them look like rats I think that Pico might have rat terrier in him, but that is why he makes such a cute chihuahua Some of them look like wolves Pico is too small to ever be mistaken for that People talk to them in baby voices and tell them to go potty I don't talk to him in a baby voice, but when I tell him to go potty, he does They slobber Pico never slobbers They smell Pico doesn't |
lol nice to see you marked the occasion with something special :P

Pilau smells...but he doesn't slobber. I can't abide doggy slobber. I really love Bassett Hounds, but would never own one because of the slobber. Same with Boxers.
Not slobbering was very much one of the criteria I had when choosing a breed. As was the shedding fur. Pilau doesn't moult. he has a double coat that has to be clipped and the undercoat plucked or combed out a few times a year. There are dog hair, but nothing like a shedding breed. Ceertainly not as many hairs as the average cat would leave :P Pilau has bitten. But that's only when outside and excited. Indoors he has the perfect temperament. He can be lay there chewing on a bone and I can just take it from him. there will be no growling. He doesn't eat shit, never has. Also never got into that rolling in smelly stuff habit either. Dan does from time to time (maybe once or twice in a year). But it's not Pil's thing. The only things Pilau chews are the things he's been given to chew. The only exceptions to that being a couple of shoes and a portion of fireplace that he chewed when he was teething. Past a few months old he could be trusted not to chew anything that hadn't been given to him to chew, or left where his toys were. There was one wooden bangle that he chewed up a couple of years ago, but that had been knocked off the coffee table and had landed in amongst some of his toys, so fair play to him :p Pilau does look a bit wolfy sometimes. But i consider that a plus not a minus :) The one really irritating habit he has is digging up the carpet. I consider not having a nice carpet a small price to pay for his company. |
