This is the tree pictured in The Ring. It's a Japanese Maple. The fruit of the Japanese Maple is called Samara. Samara is the girl in The Ring.[/youruselesstriviafortheday]

We planted a Japanese Maple in the backyard of our old house, because Mr. Clod loves them.

Then we moved, of course.

I had a similar (ahem) effect where I took a photo through the leaves of a willow tree in spring.

now look at the picture again and imagine your looking through a brain scan, the tree and branches look like they are the veins in the brain :)
