Feb 16th, 2020 : Dunk

I’ll just slip this is here between your Valentine debauchery hangover/exhaustion, and anxiety attack anticipating Monday.
No worry you’ll spend half the day regaling friends about your night of the best food, drink, hours of sex, and listen to their lies too.

Years ago I was on a redeye flight from Chicago to Philly when the pilot over the PA welcomed the Philadelphia 76ers to the flight
before the usual weather and estimated time of arrival at the destination. Of course they were in first class and the curtain was
closed so I didn’t even get a glimpse of them. When I was retrieving my bag I stood up and was looking at a belt buckle.
Those guys were giants but it hadn’t really sunk in before because when you see them on TV they’re relative to each other.
Bob Cousy was a shrimp at 6’1”.

When I see pictures like this one of Michael Jordan it’s not surprising, that’s what they do. But it’s unusual in there are no defenders
so what’s going on. It was a slam dunk competition at an all-star weekend back in 1988, and here Jordan was making a slam dunk
from the free throw line. Oh, OK, that’s why no defenders, move on.

Whoa... he did what?!?! Really?
I had to look up the dimensions to fully appreciate that, but having done so I’m still amazed.

Probably there's a lot of things I see that I don't fully appreciate because I don't stop to look closer. But then if I looked closely
at everything I'd probably get run over by a bus I didn't see coming.

See the shit you get when I don't have a Valentine to distract me.

Consider that even when you shoot a bullet, gravity wants to drag it back down to the ground. So, going 15 feet forward, with the mass of the Earth tugging your DOWN the whole way, and still ending up 10 feet in the air...

Man, he was something.

Or that was one hell of a fart.

What on Earth did that 3-man film crew (cameraman in all-blue, plus two others) see that is more interesting?!? They're right there on the sideline, but all three of them are ignoring Michael Jordan flying through the air in front of them, and are instead filming something amazing off to our left.

Maybe reactions of competitors, or could be crowd shots, remember they are working, do what the boss wants.

I'm 100% positive they're getting the reaction shot of Dominique Wilkins. Close-up shot of Wilkins for reference:
