Cyclefrance 12-10-2007 06:37 PM

I started off by putting this in the humour/humor thread - that was only a couple of weeks ago, but now it's getting more serious.

No. 2 son has taken hold of his skill to be able to write songs quickly and applied it to the world of English football (soccer). His first song ( the one in the humor thread) now has had over 140,000 viewings and he's written another 10 to go with it (a couple of them aren't actually to do with soccer).

It seems to be paying off. He's starting to get approaches from interested parties. So much so, that week he is providing part of the cabaret at the Sky Sports Ball in London - repeating a few of the songs he has written already.

A lot will be lost in translation for my USA friends given this is an Englsh sport and he is singing mainly about English clubs and players, but the lyrics are alongside to make life easier.

So if you fancy taking a look then here's the link to all 11 songs he has on youtube

Drax 12-10-2007 08:55 PM

 Think he can come up with somethin' 'bout Doctor Who, Torchwood (w/ focus on Gwen Cooper), Sarah Jane, and K-9?

The stuff I post is good...at least to me.

You started this thread, now deal with it.

LJ 12-14-2007 11:37 PM

I don't know, drax. It seems like you just put up whatever.....
I only put stuff that really speaks to me. exceptional stuff. maybe i should make a new thread......

or maybe you could make one for the way you post in this one.....like a youtube blog....you could call it draxtube.
you seem to have a lot more free time than i do.

Drax 12-14-2007 11:59 PM

Well, it might not be obvious to you, but I'm posting what I like. Whether you like what I post or not, I'm gonna keep posting whenever the mood strikes me.

If you don't like my metal stuff, fine; but Sarah Brightman...Enya? Come On.

I suppose you only like mid-20th century stuff. So here ya' go:

Oh yeah, I do like a few Elvis songs.

LJ 12-15-2007 12:11 AM

that's not what i'm saying at all.

i am saying that i have deduced....from the sheer VOLUME of your links in this thread....that you are putting up whatever you've seen lately...not stuff that really stands out. but whatever....you go ahead. i don't have to watch them... it's not a problem.....just....well...

hey...i searched this thread for posts jinx made...and while i know i'm totally biased....i gotta say....great stuff, all of it. you go girl. you're practically the antidrax.

Well then assuming that you mean, I just happened to have seen these on TV or something, then my answer is no. I specifically searched YouTube for every video I posted. Why? Because I like them, and I thought some of you might like them too. I mean, aren't you guys doin' the same thing...post vidz you like, and want to share them?

Speaking of which, I have another one I'd like to share:

Sepultura - Desperate Cry:
Barcelona; 1991

Ok, that was my final post in this thread.
