Philadelphia Sound?

With a lot of music coming out of Philly, is there a Philadelphia sound?

Lil' Griff played a Hop Along cut on her college radio show so I spotifyed and some of it sounds like Sheer Mag, but music is so atomized these days I'm guessing I'm just working a couple similar corners. Neither sounds like The Roots or Shabby Road.

I don't think there is one right now but I wouldn't know being all old and whatnot

I was thinking that the official Philly Sound (TM) is probably Kurt Vile, and The War on Drugs, but maybe that is the sound of 4-5 years ago!

:) The city may have updated in the meantime.

The sound of Philly?

That's, uh, that's screams, horns, and gunfire?

:p:

You need the Sounds Of Kentucky.

Pig squeals, bubbling bongs, and gunfire.
