Common Sense

Coworker:
How much does a gallon weigh?
Isn't it eight pounds?

Me:
It depends on what it is...

Coworker:
It's milk.

Me:
[shrugs and walks away]

Coworker:
[putting a gallon of milk on a scale]
It says nine pounds!

I wanted to go back and ask her whether a pound of gold weighs more than a pound of feathers.

For an encore, you could have asked her which takes up more space, a gallon of gold or a gallon of feathers?

A pound of feathers is heavier than a pound of gold.
