Dec 18th, 2019 : Underwater

Now the conversations, at least the smart ones, are about the sea level rising.
But what if a grown up ET came down with fleets of giant tankers and stole the oceans?
Quote:

Our Earth is a proverbial pale blue dot, thanks to the oceans and seas that cover 71 percent of our planet’s surface. The great blue expanse between the lands has been an enduring source of mystery, and there is still so much we don’t know about what lies at the bottom of it.
Imagining what the world would look like without the water is a very cool mental experiment and thanks to planetary scientist Dr James O'Donoghue of the Japan Space Agency (JAXA) we can see it happened in a glorious 4K animation.

“I was most surprised by the immediate appearance of land bridges, e.g. during the last Ice Age Britain and Europe were linked, Russia and Alaska were linked, and the region between Asia and Australia was largely connected,” Dr O'Donoghue told IFLScience. “These bridges enabled humans to migrate without boats, so this map goes a long way in explaining how a lot of human migration was possible back in the day. In other words it is a pre-history lesson!”
That makes me wonder how far down the sea level was during the Ice ages?

Once it get down to over 4000 meters (13,123 feet) it’s sort of a moot point because you don’t need a boat to go around the
world and/or pole to pole. Just draining the deep holes after that, and we would all be dead at that point from ET’s death ray finger.

Cool.
It blew me away when I learned that the California off-shore islands (Catalina. Santa Cruz, et al) were a short walk away not long ago.

If the oceans disappeared, wouldn't the rain disappear too? Eventually?

The continents are showing green areas. I bet the earth would be dry as a mushroom fart.

Correct. No rain for you, earthling.
ET's wife Antoinette said, let them drink wine.

When Jesus was at the wedding and they ran out of wine he changed water into better wine then the host had purchased previously. So if I gotta go I'm going with Jesus and his crowd.

Your choice who you want to go with, the only thing certain is you and everyone else is going. ;)
