It does sound rather steep. Maybe you get food for them or other supplies along with your two starter chicks? :confused:

I'd assume the expense is in putting them in a position to succeed. If you order day olds in the States they cost about $2 each.

That's just sick...

The prices are steep because 75% of what you donate goes to support the organization instead of buying livestock.

My oldest daughter bought my youngest daughter a contribution like that for Christmas. My youngest is a radical volunteer.
