What happened, why do we have to make America great again?
Is it because the Boomers blocked the GenX and Millennials? Yes they did, but only because they were in the right place at the right time. Attachment 69691 I think because taxes were high during the good years more money was plowed back into growing and modernizing the business, instead of sucking it out to satisfy the Wall Street wolves and Private Equity Leeches. Attachment 69692 Boomers are keeping control by hiring older CEOs. In the last 14 years the fortune 500 CEOs that were hired were born in the same year. In 14 years the age of new hires has increase by 14 years. That'll keep them whippersnappers out. Attachment 69693 Academia is the same, in 15 years the college presidents 71+ went from 2% to 11%, age 61 to 70 went from 28% to 47%. Ha ha whippersnappers. Also the number of tenured and tenure tracked teachers has dropped and part time teachers has climbed from 24% to over 40%. Attachment 69694 |

Pile on the gig economy with shit wage and less than a full week makes it worse.
Attachment 69695 Even Lawyers are taking a hit, becoming an equity partner is getting difficult if you're not a relative of a partner. They've made up new categories, new job classes, all of which say I got mine and you won't. The same goes for consulting firms, fancy title, no money. Attachment 69696 My generation is slowly passing power and wealth to the Boomers but they'll hang on to it a long time before those behind them see it. Attachment 69697 And that's all I got to say about that... for now. ;) |
Good thing the fresh faces at the DNC understand the problem.
