3/4/2006: Over-capacity truck tips
http://cellar.org/2006/truck-over-capacity.jpg
IotD has enjoyed several examples of people overloading vehicles, economizing in poorer cultures. Here's the down side - as the tip of the vehicle is caught at just the right moment. Don't know what sort of injury ensued, but it probably wasn't happy fun times. |
At a glance, I'm guessing at least a couple of crushing fatalities, assorted concussions, fracture, contusions and lacerations. Party on.
|
Holy crap.
|
Yeah, you can clearly see that a few people are going to get crushed by the truck. Okay, I can see putting a few more people in vehicles but for how many people looked like was on that thing before it tipped, they were pretty much asking for it.
|
The dude in the cab seems to have it under control.
|
The back of the truck is pretty light. If enough of them bail out of the bed and there is enough of them under the truck to share the load, they may not be killed. I hope.

I thought UT was gonna give us some tips on over-capacity trucks.

Serves em right.

Oh man, after reading what you said and looking back at the picture, I must have laughed for a good 20 seconds. Simply hilarious, I wish everyone had a little bit of the Capn' in 'em. |
If that happens in [anywhere but in the United States]
Anchorperson: "...and we close the evening news with a story of a bunch of dumbasses that fell off a bus when it tipped over. Ha ha ha, that's pretty funny Hans." If that happens in the United States: Anchorperson: "...Our top story tonight - a three hundred billion dollar class-action lawsuit was filed in district court today on behalf of Isusu owners and anyone whoever watched an Isuzu commercial by the lawfirm that financed the campaign warchest of the current governor who appointed the judge who will hear the case." |
someone forgot to yell: Shotgun!
