This stuff has been publicly known for over a year now. S Korea detected the problem years ago. Just another reason why N Korea needs to be engaged in a world community so that special powers within government no longer operate independently outside control of their own leadership. A North Korea engaged with the world would find such operations to be criminal and counter productive to Korean interests. A N Korea where the power brokers have unlimited power; where the world has no say or knowledge as to what happens inside that country - this is what happens when a country is not engaged in the world.

N Korean counterfeit hundreds (I don't remember which denominations that article described, but N Korea counterfeit hundreds have long been known) have long been considered difficult to detect. That story is a new example of old news. 'Dog bit man' is no longer news.

This is the kind of thing we need better spec-ops for. No war, just a few key building go up in flames and certain people have nasty accidents.

Of course, in addition to these magic operatives, we would need some decent intelligence too.
