3/4: Jet ski across the Atlantic
http://cellar.org/2002/jetskiatlantic.jpg
Did I really miss another day of IotD? Anyway, this gent intends to cross the Atlantic on this jet ski, though he is certainly accompanied. It will take some great deal of time and attract very little attention, yet in some way it makes sense. |
Other details: his name is Alvaro De Marichalar, this is his depature from Rome last week, and he intends to land in Miami in May.
|
How much sense is there in crossing the Atlantic if you can't do it without resupply? Granted, supervision for safety's sake is prudent, but I don't like the idea that he will be refueled and resupplied as a matter of course; that sort of defeats the purpose, no? (Feel free to correct me if he indeed plans to somehow take all the fuel and food he needs with him; perhaps a solar powered jetski?)
|
I don't mind that he will have a support team as long as they do not help him in any other way that fuel and supplies. So I will just ask these questions as they will come up later.
Where does he prepare his food? :eek2: How does he go about relieving himself (the hard one)? :whofarted: How does he stay clean without freezing to death? And what if his engine dies? |
Left form rome? Thats half the medertearian too!
Is it me or is this not exactly an amazing sunt, he's on a jetski for crying out lond, its not like he's swimming. |
Haha jag. Could you imagine though? Leaves from Rome in March... reaches Miami some time in 2004. :)
|
I might do the same thing in a benetau without even having a supply ship! Wonder if ill get similar press coverage if i hire a PR agent.
