The rise and fall of the American Empire

The educated amongst you will understand the reference to Gibbon .
The arrogant amongst you will see glory , short-lived glory , alas .
You had the power to transform the world after the second world war , and your energy and power and love was allowed to be drowned by economics . No wonder Marilyn Monroe was such a symbol .
You are now frightened .... frightened by terrorists with mediaeval minds . Your fear blinds you . Look up . See Europe , a world that is old and yet far younger than America in so many ways .
Listen to us , listen to the people we have lived with for thousands of years . Stop shreiking 'victim' 'SHOAH' as soon as you hear 'Jew' .
See complexity , and tread carefully , and do not forget that the world does not aspire to having two cars and posh ice cream . People think , you know .

Bill Brasky breast feeds John Madden! He also orchestrated the merger between UNICEF and and Smith & Wesson. He ranked 18th in the AP College Football Poll!

Yeah, too bad we squandered our opportunity and failed so miserably to rebuild Japan and Germany into democratic, healthy economic powers.

Which world is this? What person does not want to better their lot?

Thinking's great. Becoming so bogged down in esoteric philosophy that you lose sight of what people in the real world actually think and feel...that's not so good. Entertaining for the philosopher and his friends, maybe, but utterly detached from 99% of humanity.

Sounds more like a personal apocolypse. Is this when we start to invert our sentences to be profound?
Profound sentences.......this is when we start to invert.
